So what happened to those trusty polls back in 2016 ?
Carlos Carlos polls are not fortune tellers they represent a percent probability of something to be true. Think of them as odds in Vegas. Just because the casino odds are against you doesn’t mean you can’t win but over the long term the odds are against you and you will lose. So even if a poll is wrong, if you look at polls over time they will be true more times than they are wrong. Sooo when multiple polls show the same answer as in this case it’s a high probability of it being true.

People actually vote for a candidate that wouldn’t be their first choice based on polls.
It’s best just to ignore polls and vote your unbiased preference
