  1. WORDS DO MATTER, It’s time one of these TV channels put a series out about the Constitution and why we have it.

    1. Hi fellas.

      I’m a Brit. The reason why you have the Constitution is to prevent tyranny (including monarchy) specifically various abuses of power..

      So we have the right to bear arms as 1689

      “And thereupon the said Lords Spiritual and Temporal and Commons,

      That the pretended power of dispensing with laws or the execution of laws by regal authority, as it hath been assumed and exercised of late, is illegal;

      That the commission for erecting the late Court of Commissioners for Ecclesiastical Causes, and all other commissions and courts of like nature, are illegal and pernicious;

      That levying money for or to the use of the Crown by pretence of prerogative, without grant of Parliament, for longer time, or in other manner than the same is or shall be granted, is illegal;

      That it is the right of the subjects to petition the king, and all commitments and prosecutions for such petitioning are illegal;

      That the raising or keeping a standing army within the kingdom in time of peace, unless it be with consent of Parliament, is against law;

      *That the subjects which are Protestants may have arms for their defence suitable to* *their conditions and as allowed by law;
      *

      That election of members of Parliament ought to be free;

      That the freedom of speech and debates or proceedings in Parliament ought not to be impeached or questioned in any court or place out of Parliament;

      That excessive bail ought not to be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted;

      That jurors ought to be duly impanelled and returned, and jurors which pass upon men in trials for high treason ought to be freeholders;

      That all grants and promises of fines and forfeitures of particular persons before conviction are illegal and void;

      And that for redress of all grievances, and for the amending, strengthening and preserving of the laws, Parliaments ought to be held frequently.

      And they do claim, demand and insist upon all and singular the premises as their undoubted rights and liberties, and that no declarations, judgments, doings or proceedings to the prejudice of the people in any of the said premises ought in any wise to be drawn hereafter into consequence or example; to which demand of their rights they are particularly encouraged by the declaration of his Highness the prince of Orange as being the only means for obtaining a full redress and remedy therein. Having therefore an entire confidence that his said Highness the prince of Orange will perfect the deliverance so far advanced by him, and will still preserve them from the violation of their rights which they have here asserted, and from all other attempts upon their religion, rights and liberties, the said Lords Spiritual and Temporal and Commons assembled at Westminster do resolve that William and Mary, prince and princess of Orange, be and be declared king and queen of England, France and Ireland and the dominions thereunto belonging, to hold the crown and royal dignity of the said kingdoms and dominions to them, the said prince and princess, during their lives and the life of the survivor to them, and that the sole and full exercise of the regal power be only in and executed by the said prince of Orange in the names of the said prince and princess during their joint lives, and after their deceases the said crown and royal dignity of the same kingdoms and dominions to be to the heirs of the body of the said princess, and for default of such issue to the Princess Anne of Denmark and the heirs of her body, and for default of such issue to the heirs of the body of the said prince of Orange. And the Lords Spiritual and Temporal and Commons do pray the said prince and princess to accept the same accordingly.

      And that the oaths hereafter mentioned be taken by all persons of whom the oaths have allegiance and supremacy might be required by law, instead of them; and that the said oaths of allegiance and supremacy be abrogated

    2. Prior to that point JAmes I olr Charles II had permitted Catholics to bear arms. Permitting Protestants to bear arms meant there was always a militia ready made to put down any papist insurrection, obviating any need for a standing army for similar purposes.

      The weapon would have been a Brown Bess type flintloch or more probably match lock as these were standard army issue..

      From that you could argue that rights are permanent or variable, say that a citizen has the right to a fire arm with a rate of fire of 4 rounds a per minute, or a fully militarized M15. I guess it really depends on =who ypou are wanting to shoot and how they are armed and why you want to shoot each other. You could restrict guns to the home or insist they be kep[t in armories of local National Guard units.

      All I’m saying is that if you know the background you can see things fron a different angle maybe?

  2. ARE WE PREPARED TO ACCEPT THIS AS THE STATUS QUO. Otherwise it is unacceptable. The world is watching and what you do here echos over the world. Will any trust you beyond this?

    1. @You Hi They have this thing called corrobating evidence… Which they’ve gotten from WITNESSES – hired by multiple Republican presidents……
      Try, actually, watching the hearings, child.

    2. Iro Witness for impeachment ? Just a group of people who don’t like the presidents new polices . So what’s the game here buddy ? Yes I have watched the Democrats issued witnesses and them fail .Funny they won’t allow other witnesses to testify.

    3. @You Hi except that you’re just pretending that entire people didn’t happen.
      Hint: try commenting on the patriots, hired by MULTIPLE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTS.
      J.F.C.

    1. Tim Sanders so can I ask… what happens if Sondland testifies that they were withholding aid in the hopes of an investigation into the Bidens? Is he not credible? Because if I remember correctly the only reason he has a high end job in our government is because he donated a million dollars to Trump’s 2016 campaign. Now why would someone who supports Trump, to the point that he donated a million dollars to him in the hopes hed become president, lie under oath to get HIS president impeached? Spin that in a left way, I’ll wait

    1. @Flummoxed Marmoset You do not know what progressive means. Not one person I know of who associates themselves with the powerful progressive movement, watches any MSM. MSNBC is neo-lib all the way

  3. Of course kevin mckompromat McCarthy feels comfortable in his dereliction of duty because for one, trump afew weeks ago helped him with I think like 30 million in fundraiser for his campaign against Pelosi. I do know it was a many millions

    1. That money came through Giuliani’s thugs and was proven. Mccarthy stated he would give those campaign funds to charity. That did not make it right! Where is the receipt for that??? He is involved up to his eyeballs and he knows it. Thats why he is kissing trumps aas

    1. @thebluerobin let’s also be factual and understand that a majority of gun crime is gang crime using illegally owned firearms. “Assault Weapons” as you call them account for around 5 percent of all gun deaths, and 99 percent of all legally owned firearms will never be used to commit a crime. The only guns that oughta be regulated are machine guns, and guess what? they have been regulated since ’34, and regulations were updated again in ’86. And until you actually educate yourself in proper gun terminology, I suggest you stop telling us law abiding constitutional americans what to do, what to own, and how to live our life.

    2. @thebluerobin The fact that the left is so keenly interested in banning the guns involved with such low numbers of homicides shows that it’s not really about saving lives. You’re being emotionally manipulated. Wake up!

    3. thebluerobin expect that canons were included in the 2nd amendment and obviously muskets which both of those have killed millions of people so

    1. @Matty O back then they all defended the 2d amendment in one way or another. The only modern democrat I can think of that actually cared was JFK. Dems have been after the guns since FDR.

    2. Whispering Whiskers actually, you’re right. Why don’t you round up all your armed buddies and go to Venezuela and Iran and free these people from their oppression? I mean, you guys brag that’s what those toys are for and all, why not demonstrate and get real war experience? I mean, certainly you should be able to easily take down the Venezuelan and Iranian militaries if you expect to have any chance against the US military . Not scared are you?

    3. @skipsterz And you fail to realize that a good chunk of american gun owners are ex-military. They already have war experience, as you called it.

    4. Garbanzo Explains so, this is your point then. A good portion of the gun nuts in this country that live in fear of a military oppression; are in fact themselves, former US military veterans. Interesting…

    1. In other NEWS… Traitor Trump committed another impeachable offense, IN REAL TIME, while the hearing was in progress. Traitor Trump is one of the most imbecilic criminals in world history!

    2. @Jae Eph WTF are you talking about. Pederasts have personality disorders. Not curable or treatable. 40 years in mental health CREDENTIALED and licensed. Retired now.

    3. Note how the Russian robots are programmed to use misspellings and portmanteaus to avoid having their comments deleted.

    1. My take is republicans were not allowed to ask important questions that would separate the lies and exaggerations from the truth. Republicans are being denied fairness and due process. Meetings are still being held by a biased democrat party behind closed doors. Everything is based on assumptions, exaggerations, and wild imaginations. Everything is being rehearsed before being presented to the public. I’m not even a republican but I know what these democrat leaders would be doing if the tables were turned and if republicans were pulling the exact same stunts that democrats are pulling now. They would be howling at the moon. The hypocrisy is amazing

  4. Oh boy! The sheep herders at MSNBC are working overtime trying to spin this one Biden on Video tape spelling out the bribe to fire his Sons prosecutor. Trump released transcript… done… Left has had their feelings hurt since 2016…

  5. Looks like the Russian Govt brought in a couple extra school buses to help with the propaganda…
    The impeachment must be on track 🙂

    1. @Iro I simply read what you put out there, “Looks like the Russian Govt brought in a couple extra school buses to help with the propaganda…”. and I said that you seemed to imply that you knew them, or recognized them. If not, then what is your statement based on? Please enlighten me – Oh, “Great One”, or. “IRO the Magnificent”.

    2. @Katherine C Sorry, sweetheart…
      You said they were my friends;
      Not that I “knew or recognized” them.

      I know what I said… >.>
      You still have to explain how I implied we were friends, or – even, that I knew them…
      Maybe you need to update your translator, Ms. the Great

  6. “Shut up about the hearsay if you’re blocking all the witnesses!”
    –ex-Senator Claire McCaskill

    (an innocent man does not ignore Congressional subpeonas that request documents and block witnesses testimony.)
