House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy was just asked about President Trump's racist tweets about four progressive Democratic congresswomen and those representatives' response to the attacks.
McCarthy said the Democrats' response has been politically charged.
"I understand when I listened to their press conference yesterday, they talked more about impeachment than anything else," he said.
He continued: “This is more from their bases about politics, and it’s unfortunate. We should get back to the business of America."
The President also defended his previous tweets, saying they were "NOT Racist," adding that he does not have “a Racist bone in my Body."
Trump urged Republicans not to "show 'weakness" as the Democratic-led House moves to vote on a resolution to condemn his racist tweets.

Oof, too real. I used to consider myself a republican but things are too weird and creepy right now. I’m hard independent now, I’m done with parties, they just create “us vs. them” attitudes when we are all America, even naturalized newbies (that’s the way it’s always been and if you hate immigrants, maybe YOU should leave). I grew up and was taught only kindness and love toward all people, but since Trump it’s like being stuck in a freaky episode of The Twilight Zone where suddenly I’m in a dimension where my Mom and family that I am very close with are starting to sound more like scary racists every day. Listening to them is like watching someone in a movie get possessed by a demon of fear and rage. Lots of “well, if Obama did the same thing, he’d be praised by those liberals,” like, what does Obama have to do with Trump spending too much on a parade? He totally didn’t though? When someone is told to go back where they came from it is said to people of color or people that can be identified as a minority possibly by dress, accent or other distinction. I am a 69 year old caucasion and nobody has ever told me to go back to my country. The phrase is used as a means of separation, to make some people excluded. That is just about the definition of racism. As you yourself didn’t notice it, perhaps you are an example of what I posted originally.
