  1. The disease is not under control
Such BS!!! This administration has been down playing it since the beginning. The only reason they are concerned now is because the stock market is plunging and it will continue to plunge. Too late now to take action!!! What a bunch of dummies. They did not think the virus would affect the economy. How dumb can you be? Smh

    1. And Dumbo the world economy is being affected by this don’t act like it’s just America cuz once again you showing your ignorance. China distributes a lot of merchandise throughout the world. Wake up. Because the Z in Cynthia apparently stands for sleeping zzzzz’s

    2. @Whoah thats a nice meme – No one is doubting that the source is China. The virus was well known about but the WHO only announced it to the world in Dec 2019 and that the origin was Wuhan China. The CDC and the WHO work together on all viruses. I heard on the news that the virus was known about since last October. The Corona virus has been around since the 1960s but when they occur it is different strains and or different origins. It’s very possible that at time it occurred in China, they perhaps didn’t realize it was the Coronavirus and did nothing about it until people started dying.

  2. But Emperor Trump said the virus was “a hoax.”
He should go to Wuhan this week to prove us wrong. I’ll personally pay for his ticket.

    1. <_> Whats it like spreading the lie that Trump claimed this virus was a hoax? That claim was debunked hours of it was brought up.

    2. You understand that all of you idiots that are wanting trump to fail are hoping people get sick and possibly die because you don’t like trump. Am I the only one that sees an issue with that thought process?

    3. @Kurt – What lie? OMG Trump himself has been on the news a number of times claiming the virus was a hoax. Not only a hoax but a Democrat hoax. You need to address the lies with Trump.

  3. How do you accurately confirm the number of cases when there are a very limited number of testing kits available in the USA?

    1. @luis whatshisname Yes because only the super intelligent believe in 76 genders, racist trees, and worry about the minimum wage because they’re broke, right kid?

    2. It’s not accurate, but look at s.korea, they are testing thousands a day, you can trust that their numbers are as accurate as they can be.

    3. Exactly RWE. So don’t believe any extreme accounts of the government doing or not doing something. We need to keep calm while behind the scenes have the pedal to the metal doing all we can. You need to wash hands and not rub your eyes or put your dirty fingers in your mouth. And Liberals might have to stop going to the bath house for a few months until this virus runs its course.

  4. I’m sure tomorrow, Trump will have a press conference with a huge 74 on it, with the 7 blacked out with a Sharpie.

    1. Soylent Ramen I don’t trust MSNBC they are way too liberal and they hate the Trump administration too much, but I do watch their videos sometimes. This time they just reported 2 cases has been found in Washington, so I clicked the video.
I don’t trust FOX and CNN either. But breaking report like this, it’s not about trust. The number will be different soon. Everybody knows that. People get tested now have spend last 7 days with regular activities in the US. Many people already have virus.
So you don’t really have to trust the number. From this news you should know it’s here.

    1. Sally Weaver They arent quarantining 100 million + people for a simple flu. They arent banning most travel for a simple flu either. They arent wasting billions of dollars on new medical supplies for a simple flu. The stock market isnt bottoming out for a simple flu. Sorry to inform u, but u are stupid if u believe this is small thing to not worry about becoming even bigger over the next month or 2.

  5. That many cases in wa sounds like this virus is highly contaevous since only one person we know of came back from China and had the virus.

    1. billinsf88 ….you wouldn’t go to the Dr for a common cold, so if you get one now, stay home and protect others from yourself. You won’t need medical treatment unless your symptoms become severe. If you think you have been exposed, call your Dr and notify them, high risk areas may send a public health nurse to you, but they will at least have a record and keep track Incase testing is warranted and you tested positive.

    1. You buffoon, they’re trying to make this look as non threatening as possible, and they’ve done a terrible job giving us real news

    2. @jays knight king titan No they aren’t but they are on the ground and in the fight, personally I go by W.H.O. CDC is just American so now they report to Pence who reports to the master and then you get the truth

  6. 0:55 “Of the now 22” even if it’s an accurate number, Pence says the good news is they are recovering, simple math would mean they have infected 88 people 4 days ago…I wonder if the scientists have told Pence what R0 is and what an exponential function looks like

    1. @Shane Divix COVID-19’s fatality rate is ten times the flu. Common flu kills ~.2% of all infected each year. COVID-19 is a new virus. It has killed roughly 3% of all known infected people. That number can go up or down with time as more cases are discovered, and as the disease mutates. Even if the first wave is less deadly than expected, we are not out of the woods. Diseases tend to come in waves. In 1918-19, the second wave of Spanish flu was the deadliest. You’re welcome to test the bell curve by not washing your hands and ignoring any isolation warnings that occur between now and November, but I wouldn’t test it.

    2. @blackearl7891  so there is a lot packed in your comment so excuse the long reply.

Whether the death rate is underreported in china or other places, the fact is that way more people are infected than are tested/reported.

Once those untested cases are factored into the equation, the death rate will inevitably drop drastically.

Italy has been reducing the testing which is again not properly accounting for all the people who have it and weren’t tested, thereby making the death rate seem much much higher than it actually is. France is doing something similar.

I am expecting most of the globe being infected, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths, but the rate will be lower than 2% and closer to the flu.

As for the woman who “relapsed”, there are many many factors which could explain this. For example, faulty test when they originally cleared her.

Even if their is a relapse rate, thus far, we have no evidence that it is more lethal and the number of relapses is not sufficient to make the case for being concerned.

The asymptomatic issue is only an issue for containment. However, since it is obvious that containment is not possible, my suggestion is that we stop worrying about containment and let this virus burn through the population and the overwhelming majority of us will be fine with only mild symptoms.

    3. @Ed Hirtzel so the fatality rate can not really be known until the pandemic is finally over. Until then, as you said, the rate can go up or down, though in the past, it has always gone down.

We can worry about the second wave when we get there, no point in causing fear until we know more.

I am not suggesting that people not follow proper hygiene or ignore isolation warnings.

What I’m saying is that this virus will NOT be contained and everyone should assume they will be infected. They should also assume that most likely, they will have mild symptoms and develop antibodies thereafter.

Panic and fear with this kind of rhetoric weakens the immune system which is the exact opposite of what you want to achieve.

Making it seem bigger and worse than it is only causes panic and fear. You should STOP contributing to it with all the future claims you made regarding how bad it “could” get.

    1. I don’t think they are counting those from the diamond princess because they were not infected here !
They are trying to keep track of what’s happening to the public and how it’s spreading !

    2. @Charissa Murray WRONG. Know what you’re talking about is recommended. [Wiki] “An airborne disease is any disease that is caused by pathogens that can be transmitted through the air by both small, dry particles, and as larger liquid droplets… The relevant pathogens may be viruses, bacteria, or fungi, and they may be spread through breathing, talking, coughing, sneezing, raising of dust, spraying of liquids, toilet flushing or any activities which generates aerosol particles or droplets.”

    3. MY Bad: All viruses are NOT necessarily airborn, as I did previously make the mistake of writing earlier. I was thinking about coronaviruses. AIDS, for instance, is spread via blood.

    4. @ *Kelly Cook* More like tyRump and Pence don’t want to be caught with their pants down, (as if they can avoid it).

    1. I’m not so worried about the people who flew into Travis. I’m more worried about the members of the surrounding communities, where employees of Homeland Security slept and ate, after unprotected exposure to the people flown into Travis.

    2. @Deborah Freedman An independent lab has reported that the virus can live for 9 days on glass and metal

    3. @4133634 yup.. given how infinitely more contagious this is than SARS, not surprised it can last a few days longer in the right conditions than it did..

    4. @Deborah Freedman Perhaps it was the administration’s intention to let these people loose in Blue States.

    1. 74 confirmed cases in the US .
How many million people here ?
      Those aren’t bad numbers , yet ….
Let’s see how the next few weeks play out .

  7. How can they tell us it’s under control, when people keep getting it,and we don’t know how???

    1. @Alex Leaud Islamic Communistic? I think you better switch to decaf with non dairy fat free creamer. Make sure you use sugar free syrup on your pancakes. Survivors like you are a dying breed. Are you capable of understanding?

  8. When you have any kind of public health emergency, any kind of epidemic. What you want is the science leading the politics, not the politics leading the science. Without that, it most definitely will get people killed.

    1. Correction: with one confirmed death and at least one other in critical condition, it is already killing people. Yet Trump still claims they are getting better and expects the number of cases to drop to zero soon despite field reports going up by ~10%/day.

    2. @Jean. He seems to have intelligence and integrity. So he wouldn’t fit into the WH these days. They only want liars and sycophants.

    3. @Teardown Dan Do you have the least bit of an idea what percentage of the population this is? It does not even register with a whole number…you dolt.

    1. Matthew Sigurdson right because the CDC is secretly the MSM. Shhh.. don’t tell anyone. While you’re at it loosen your tin foil hat

    2. Justin G pot of pebbles – bunch of stones . Shiny stone buried under earth after huge temperature shift and great compression – a diamond. Well, guess I should be a billionaire since I have pots and pots of pebbles?

  9. If a person gets sick, and doesn’t have insurance, you can BET they’re not going to the doctor.

    1. @Guided Meditation True , but after that don’t even think about buying a stick of gum on credit for the next 10 yrs.

    2. My insurance is the worst… i wouldn’t go…. ide go full asain and stay at my crib and prob die 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

  10. People are still getting the virus, no one knows how it’s being transmitted, people not being tested and we’re supposed to believe its under control?

    1. It’s transmitted through breathing as far as I know, that’s why it’s spreading real fast

    2. @Philip Clarke. Consider the source. Trump also thinks you get cancer from windmills. And draws on hurricane maps with sharpies to fit the narrative in his head. So yeah, I wouldn’t take him at his word. Because you know -he lies more often than he eats. What is it now, like over 15,000 since he’s been in office? Well, at least he’s the best at something. Liar in Chief
