An impeached president can’t pardon his own impeachment but yes can still pardon his cult of certain federal charges.

Okay realistically, even if they started the trial today, it wouldn’t be completed before Biden took office. And once it starts, it’ll take up most of the senate’s focus. You’re better off waiting until after Biden has been able to get his cabinet confirmed and push forward his coronavirus stimulus legislation
