  1. for my republican friends:

ain’t it hard when you discovered that
he really wasn’t where it’s at
after he took from you everything he could steal

    1. Hank – “Come senators and congressmen, please heed the call,
don’t stand in the doorway, don’t lock up the hall,
for he who gets hurt will be he who has stalled,
the battle outside is raging … ” Pretty timely, Bob.

    2. The “Democrats and The MSM have taken from YOU that which is much more important than wealth or physical possessions They have taken your FREE WILL to THINK. SNOWDEN was Banished for telling us the Truth about OUR Government. You rely on a Party as your savior. To protect your way of comfortable thought. While the Media has BANNED people such as Roger Waters from SPEAKING on US television. What are they afraid of? The goal of all governments is to CONTROL THE PEOPLE. Your quote proves its point. You feel “safe” with the Democratic Status Quo. Don;t use Dylan as a backing source for your political madness.

    3. @PumpkinsFan2803 ?? “Masters of War” ? “Come Senators and Congressmen…”? “Political World” ?

    4. @Piggy-218 Not sure to whom you were responding. But to criticize Dems as relying on a party as a savior is ironic, given the worship about trump. I would love to open the Snowden knowledge bank.

  2. Well, Bob Dylan won’t see this, but,,,
Happy Birthday, 80 years young! Thank you for all your music. Truly a legend.

  3. I want to wish Bob a happy birthday and many many more. I loved listening to all his albums when I was still younger than and can do his voice to a tee, even though I’m older than that now. Happy Birthday Bob!

    1. @steve jette Perhaps, and just thinking about it makes me wonder about my life right now, as things seem to be going in reverse! Don’t ask me how or why but things do seem to be taking me back to my childhood.

  4. Happy Birthday Bob Dylan!!! The man is a poetic genius&musician. There’s no one else like him. When he was born, the mold was broken.🤓😏

    1. Maria – When he wrote “Like A Rolling Stone”, it was six minutes long. Radio stations lost their collective minds. Before that, songs were three minutes long. And singers could sing pretty well. But Bob Dylan ???

  5. Whenever I get depressed I just turn on Dylan’s “It’s Not Dark Yet.” That melancholic melody is just the catharsis I need sometimes.

  6. Oh Bobby, I wish you were only 20 so we could have many more decades of your unique, and wonderful sounds.

  7. We have to thank Johnny Cash for talking his record company into a contract with this outstanding poet. Happy birthday Bob Dylan and thank you very much.

  8. In 1963 my dad told me that my music would not last. “That Bobbie Dylan and those Rolling Stones won’t last because it’s not good music.” Right dad.

    1. @Earl Franklin You too but Larry Graham and Bootsy are of their time, don’t be frozen in aspic… check out Snarky Puppy on NPR tiny desk… find your mojo again… its still there

    2. @Pat Robins There have been many talented musicians, some of which I like. I enjoy a wide variety of music, it’s just that there were so many amazingly great bands that came out of the 60’s that had so much influence on music, and on me.

    3. @Carlos Carlos and he was a musician of effect rather grace. I bet you wished were that talentless.

    1. Dylan was one of the first 60s rock stars to turn 30 in 1971, along with John Lennon and Ringo Starr. 30 isn’t considered old for a rock musician now, but it WAS in the 1970s.
I used to work with a guy who was born in 1954 ( I was born in 1962) and he told me that he and his friends already considered Dylan to be part of an older generation.

  9. Desperation Row, Masters of War, Just Like a Woman, Knockin on Heaven’s Door, Not Dark Yet, Love Sick…there are way too many to choose from.

    1. Lisa – WAY too many to choose from. Watchtower. Tangled Up, Rolling Stone, but my favorite is Heaven’s Door and the scene from ‘Pat Garrett and Billie the Kid’ with Slim Pickens, who was a real cowboy before movies.

  10. “Even the president of the United States must sometimes stand naked”. Trump should remember this
