My gut feeling is that a lot of islands around the world are going to be wiped out by storms in the coming years. Due to the increasing temperature of the world’s oceans; and the fact that each year for the next 80 years all the waters of the worlds oceans will rise by one inch each year. In other words by the time lets say the Bahama’s rebuild in like five years, the worlds oceans will have risen another five inches; so the next time a hurricane hits there, the water will sweep in that much deeper. In other words I don’t think places like the Bahama’s in the future will be able to rebuild fast enough after each major storm; due to the water having gotten that much deeper during the rebuilding process. It will become a losing situation.
