World War II-era bomb unexpectedly explodes as crews try to defuse it in England

Emergency crews in Great Yarmouth, England, located the unexploded bomb in the River Yare prompting evacuations in the area.

The discovery of the more than 550-pound device prompted local authorities to evacuate the area while military officials worked to disarm it.

Drone footage captured by Norfolk police shows the moments the bomb unexpectedly went off.

A protective sandbox was built around the bomb to protect crews working close by. No one was injured, according to police.

Police said no one was injured.

  1. Sign #1 maybe shouldn’t change God from Him to them and they a bit confusing as well, I’ve never got a good explanation for the change either
