Window Of Opportunity For Containing Coronavirus Rapidly Closing | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC
In a situation as serious as this, a real leader would have experts like Dr. Fauci, and experts from the CDC, out front on a regular basis briefing , informing, and educating the public on the risks and hazards of this virus. A real leader would make sure that the people have all the necessary information needed to protect themselves. And it’s not a matter of fear mongering, it’s a matter of trust. Because fear grows from a lack of trust.
You can actually create a panic by intentionally or unintentionally misleading the public. Doctors and scientists should be the ones taking the lead in not only dealing with this virus, they should also be the ones taking the lead in briefing and disseminating the information to the press and to the public. No one wants to hear from two nincompoops like Trump and Pence, who don’t even believe in science. The administration job should simply be to ensure that the experts and all the institutions and facilities involved, has everything they could possibly need.
Trump wants to elected again. They are blaming the democrats for making it political and that they want a lot off dead’s so they can blame Trump in an desperate attempt to remove him. The only ones who are making it political are Trump. His administration, conservatives and Fox by going after the democrats instead off working together. Telling people it is an hire created by the democrats and nothing but the comment flu.
The CDC would probably have listened to the WHO and would still screw up. The WHO has been dragging its feet in declaring the coronavirus a pandemic. All members of the WHO, along with the Chinese government, should be dropped in the middle of the ocean.

Trump’s reassuring words of leadership about the coronavirus:
“We have done an incredible job. We’re going to continue. It’s going to disappear. One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear. And from our shores, you know, it could get worse before it gets better. Could maybe go away. We’ll see what happens. Nobody really knows.”

In the past the US would have been the leader in addressing this virus. Now we are not even on the list of nations capable in dealing with this. Thanks in no small part to trump actions of gutting the very organizations set up to deal with outbreaks with of resources and knowledgeable personnel.
