This is what a systemic problem looks like. Doesn’t matter the town, doesn’t matter the individual. Cops will ALWAYS try to protect their own, even when they are in the wrong. That’s why there are no “good apples” if those cops are willing to cover up for the bad apples.
Police need to be able to control criminals. Not allowing police to use chokeholds means more people police and suspects will get hurt.

lawyers directing the people protesting and our media is hyper focused on police investigating themselves. they are not the only officials with these powers or that abuse these powers. we should be looking at judges lawyers social workers and our expansive military as well. systemic corruption means there are people in these systems at fault not that a single system of organization is.
