It takes an engineer about five minutes to make a hole in a row of dragon’s teeth. An APC with a tow cable can drag them out of the way in about ten minutes. A mortar can blast them to dust in 2-3 shots.
Razorwire doesn’t stop tracked APCs. They go right through it.
Tracked vehicles go right over infantry trenches. Anti-tank trenches don’t work to stop them unless there is lots of infantry and artillery to keep the tracked vehicles from chewing their way out the other side and a tracked vehicle in the anti-tank trench is protected from direct fire at it.
The best way for the Russians to defend against a Ukrainian offensive is to go back home to Russia and pray the Ukrainians don’t follow them home.
@bob dillon Ukraine also received a lot of anti-mine equipment, like mine rollers, because everyone anticipated Russian mine fields everywhere. I doubt they will be delayed very much by mines…

The russian defenses would be formidible if this was 1918. But Ukraine has engineering equipment that is going to make it moot. The defensive tactics have also been in place for months and is easily obsrerved, Ukraine has probably been training how to get over it for months. Tanks get all the glory but look at a list of the engineering and bridge building stuff we have already sent. This wont even be a speedbump

I have to think a report like this during WW2 would have been considered giving intelligence to the enemy but in 2023 it’s just google maps.
Just on a side note to the story, I noticed that after three years, no doubt having to speak Russian, Trevor has a slight Russian accent. I find this interesting as I spent most of my adult life as a linguist in the army (not speaking Russian though) and all things linguistic fascinate me.
