President Donald Trump is hosting a roundtable discussion with business executives on a plan for "Opening Up America Again" by ending the social distancing practices that have been recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and National Institutes of Health.

The United States has surpassed 1 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to Johns Hopkins University data, but daily new cases are in decline, suggesting that the social distancing practices and other mitigations strategies are working. President Trump has announced a task force to discuss how to return people to work and spur the economy back into growth.
