@Risa Nicola His mortality rate is way off. The rate is 2%-4% in Wuhan, but only 0.7% in other places. It also varies based on age. For example, the rate is 80% for people around 80 years old. So far, mild and moderate cases of NCoV-19 have resulted in 0 deaths, and almost half of the cases have recovered. As of now, there are 60 cases of Coronavirus in the US. Of those, 6 have recovered already, and none have died. Also, there is no ‘silent panic’ in law enforcement agencies. If anything, they are just acting according to plans that have existed and been used for multiple outbreaks. Think of it as students evacuating a school like the way they practiced in fire drills. We weren’t completely unprepared for this, as we have dealt with similar, and worse, situations than this.
