I hope this ruins some of the participants careers permanently like an actual draining of the swamp unlike what trump did which was refilling the swamp. These people who are in government but actively pursued overthrowing the government shouldn’t have been allowed to continue serving after January 6th.

What we know is we’re tired of malicious men who look like yesteryears’ malicious men historically getting away with high crimes and misdemeanors. We can see that law is not equally applied to everyone.

Kevin can try to lie all he wants but he was not alone when he made that phone call there were other people in the room with him who heard what was said and the shouting and cussing nature of the call.
Unfortunately, McCarthy’s ambition to be Speaker (and his promises of retribution upon every Democrat by losing committee assignments, etc.) is greater than his intelligence. To threaten every Democrat member of the House before you have become Speaker is not only grossly stupid, but it also proves he is totally unfit to hold that office as well. The only way a democracy can function is through bipartisanship. He has ruled that out. I am guessing he would not be his party’s 1st choice for Speaker after his performance as minority leader, which has been dismally incompetent.
We are traveling and find ourselves in Fresno… Drat … local country music station has McCarthy advert. But people we spoke with point out Kevin is a coward who can’t function ultimately with truth. Not solid.

@M C Fresno is in the valley. Devin Nunes was their representative. This is a very red area in California, although l don’t know why. Nunes hometown newspaper endorsed his opponent and he still won. Many leave the area for the cities. Costal areas of California are blue with the exception of Orange County and San Diego, which have very rich communities. I am a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, and the difference between here and many areas in Southern California is amazing. When visiting Southern California, l have often lied about where l was from because of the hostility. Katie Porter is from Southern California and she is amazing! She is a Democrat from a red area. I hope the recognize her worth and keep her in Congress!

The rally was legal and had permits. The “march” on the Capitol was not legal. The organizers of the rally expressly stated that there would be no march. They repeated that subsequently on camera in interviews. If there was no marching permit that would be a reason for minimal police and crowd control. If there were permits the police presence would have been much greater. Question is was this the plan all along?

Mark, the material is called gingham. It is a checked print that, in red and white, resembles tablecloths that are commonly seen in Italian restaurants.
