Let’s discuss him as Chair of the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee in 2014 where his lack of oversight and accountability resulted in the deaths of veterans. Looks like his little social medicine experiment backfired.
@Uknow he was in Congress for 25 years before becoming a millionaire and only became one after writing a best-selling book after the 2016 race against Hillary. Before that, he was one of the least wealthy members in Congress. Many politicians become millionaires within their FIRST or second term. How? Insider trading, selling their votes to lobbyists in exchange for campaign contributions, etc. Yet Sanders never has which is why it took him 25 years before he made 7 figures. It’s pretty obvious why it took him so long compared to others.
It takes 10.4 million to be part of the 1%.
He made most of his money from the books heβs written. So what? Being wealthy isnβt the problem. Itβs the greedy who make their money off of the backs of their employees (and not compensating them fairly) while searching for whatever tax loophole they can.

That was until I started reading the bills or watching the original interviews and realized they didn’t match the reporting.
