  1. Real conservatives have left the repugnicant party and have mostly sworn to back Biden, all that’s left is sycophants and cultists who swallow and parrot trumputin’s misinformation and false talking points

  2. The Don of Hate and Divide Is Done. On November 3rd We The People Will Take Back Our Country and elect Joe Biden as President and Kalama Harris Vice President of The United States of America.

    1. God I hope so. Just to have some normal times again. I will disagree with Biden on many things. But at least he won’t be egging on his deranged supporters to be violent.

    2. @Jock Young
      Trump is married his office. TILL DEATH WILL HE PART.

      To pull it of he will have to control all US Security Forces with a COVID 19 MIND CONTROL VACCINE.

  3. It’s so disappointing to hear this stuff. No one should give a cr*p about “Conversatism” or “Liberalism”. How about doing what is best for the country regardless of whether it would be thought of as a Conservative or Liberal value ?. This Conservative/Liberal, Right/Left limited and narrow minded view is the road that lead to trump.

    1. @Alex Hamilton Most of the rest of the developed world manages to work these things out satisfactorily. Why hasn’t the USA?

    2. @Alex Hamilton I have no problem doing that… one at a time….

      Abortion: personally, I believe that the woman who is pregnant should have the power to make that decision, not only because it is her body but, also because whatever decision she makes is a defining fork in her future. That said, I believe there should be a limit on the time she is allowed to make that decision. IOW, I am not, repeat not, in favor of late term abortions unless there are overriding reason(s) for it.

      Taxes: First and, most important, everyone and that means everyone, including businesses should contribute to society, financially in the form of taxes and, structurally by doing what is good for the society at large and not exclusively do only what is good for them. Taxation is a mathematical problem, the maxima (where the derivative of the curve is zero) defines the optimal point. The taxation problem clearly shows that incompetence is intimately tied to greedy ignorance.

      Immigration: obviously it must be controlled. No economy can absorb an uncontrolled influx of immigrants that exceeds the economy’s capacity to provide opportunities. Immigration should not, repeat not, be used to stoke hate and fear nor, should it be used as an excuse by those who, for some reason, expect their life to come with a rose garden. The United States of America could not have achieved some of its greatest accomplishments without immigrants, among them, Einstein (without whom there would not be a GPS system among many other things), Wernher von Braun (main engineer in the design of the Saturn V which put a man on the moon), William Shockley, co-inventor of the transistor, Mohamed Atalla (inventor of the MOS) and on and on and on. I could literally list hundreds, probably even thousands of contributions made by immigrants to the greatness of this country. The bottom line is this: any immigrant who comes to the this country, works hard and contributes to society is an asset to the county. Period.

      Funding police: I don’t think anyone has a problem with funding police. What some people are quite justified in having a problem with is that, some (certainly not all) members of the police are simply uniformed thugs hiding behind a badge. That’s a problem, a big one that should be prioritized because those elements damage those who wear the uniform to protect and serve.

      Freedom of Speech: that’s a tough one. It should be protected but Freedom of Speech should not, repeat not, be absolute. Someone in a movie theater should not, repeat not, be allowed to yell “bomb” or “fire” or any other word that would cause a panic resulting in harming other people. Where do you draw the line on that one ? I can state specific cases like the example above but, I don’t have a general solution to offer and, I’m not even sure one exists.

      National Debt: the size of the debt is not the primary concern. The primary concern is how is the money spent ? if the money is spent/invested in ways that are productive and result in a better society then that is money well spent. To give an example, if a worker gets in debt to buy a house that costs 10 times (or thereabouts) their yearly income, that is money well spent. If instead they gamble that money in a casino, that’s money wasted. The same principle applies to money spent by the government.

      Education: the country should bend over backwards to make education affordable to the greatest number of people possible. Our competitive edge and the well-being of our society depends on a reasonable level of education. We should definitely concentrate more on history, history of science, social history, history of the various sciences (physics, biology, botany, anthropology, etc, etc, etc.) A good education does not have to be as expensive as it is today and, education should not, repeat not, result in placing a heavy financial burden on those who want to get an education.

      Military: a country should have a strong military but, never abuse its power. One of the instances when the U.S proved that it is a great country was demonstrated when after winning WWII, it implemented the Marshall Plan to put Europe back on its feet, including Germany. Contrast that with the sorry Treaty of Versailles where the French demonstrated being short-sighted, narrow minded vengeful society. As far as it’s cost, the money allocated to the military should be spent wisely, not wasted which is all too common at this time.

      Health Care: it is unconscionable and downright offensive for any society to put a price on life. The wealth of a nation is its people not money. People produce value (measured in money), money doesn’t produce people and the most common effect of money is to corrupt people (a good example is currently in the white house and many more in the Senate.)

      As I said in my post, it is disappointing and incredibly infantile to worry about “conservatism” or “liberalism”. The focus should be, what is best for society at large because, the only way to ensure that you (where “you” is anyone) are doing well is to build a society where everyone can do well (everyone includes “you” but “you” doesn’t include “everyone”… logic 101)

    3. @Alex Hamilton try Norway, Finland and Sweden among many others. If you want more examples (and there are quite a few more) use Google.

  4. Who cares! Conservatism was always always divisive! It’s always been b.s.. Always. Look at their budgets. Their voting records. Morals.values. lies. All of them! Liars all of them.

    1. @Bruce Wayward Ford and Disney were both fascist supporters. Reagan was a union-busting fool. Hoover was a cross-dressing tyrant who ran the FBI as his own personal fiefdom.
      As for, “I can’t think of a single liberal who have (sic) done something similar”. That only goes to show your lack of both historical understanding and poverty of imagination.

    1. Dear Joan Collins
      Will you marry me?

      Yours Truly
      King Donald

      DYNASTY IS BACK.

      HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS
      DONALD TRUMP WILL HITMOTISE & CONTROL the

      * US NAVY
      * US POLICE
      * US PEOPLE
      with COVID MIND CONTROLLING VACCINES, TO MAKE THEM DEFEND HIS THRONE TILL HE DIES.

  5. What a BS interview this is. The National Review is culpable for almost all of Trump’s actions. They have been explicitly pushing blind nationalism and xenophobic policies for decades, and only recently have been playing footsies with right wing populism.

    1. Yes. Jay was incoherent and had nothing of substance to say whatsoever. Conservative is just anti left he says. No policies, no answers …. just nonsense. How did this guy ever get to be the editor of even a kindergarten magazine. But that is not surprising, as that is Chump and current republicans in similar ways.

    1. @Betsy Bird really? He had the best economy and lowest unemployment in history before the plannedemic! You watch too much Richard Madcow!

    2. This coming from a Democrat who’s members are rioting, looting, and desecrating national monuments! You ppl still haven’t conceded the 2016 election! Good grief 🙄

    1. You are confusing conservatives with those still in the Republican party. True conservatives are for conservation, believe we must address climate change, and want to keep government out of people’s business. Real conservatives are for protecting the Constitution and Rule of Law. Real conservatives are for a progressive tax structure, where the poorest are taxed the least. Real conservatives started the Nature Conservancy and EPA, and were for reproductive rights. Trump is not a conservative, he is a populist demagogue.

  6. I would like to hear a never Trumper just once say “I’m sorry, we led the country here and we were horribly wrong.”

    1. @William Bailey or you can do us all a favor and take your dear leader’s suggestion and try out that disinfectant. Hope it works for ya!

    2. @Mars Tru why? My partner and I were talking about this last night. It’s a genuine question because we’re over scratching our heads. I honestly would like to know why so many Latinos are supporting him.

    3. @Artemis
      Latinos are just people. Some conservative; some liberal. Some intelligent, some not so much. They have individual opinions Just like everybody else.

    1. Actually when people create money , it’s money that didn’t exist before they created the business to generate the money ….. You can start a business , or stay an ignorant loser , you have the choice

    2. @Kent Torok FUKOFF STOOPID. SHUFFLING OTHER PPLS MONEY AROUND AND SCAMMING IS NOT A BUSINESS. TRAMP GETS HIS MAGA HOODS MADE IN CHYNA

  7. Ha, ha, ha, ha. There’s no room in a fascist dictatorship for anything other than praising the leader. Good luck conservatives.

    1. At the time I assumed it meant the states plus the 7 US overseas territories which were inhabited permanently by the military, civilians or both, and I’d forgotten about it until the trumpists like you followed their master’s tweet. And Obama is not up for election, so Trump’s or Biden’s gaffes are on topic.

  8. It’s not enough for them to have all the money power and real estate, they want the right to treat us like ANIMALS! $GOP+NRA+KKK=KGB$

  9. The “Conservatives” aren’t conservative any more. There is nothing conservative about armed right wing revolutionaries talking about suspending elections and the mass executions of “Elites”.

    1. @Jock Young Joe Biden is worse than a socialist, he is a puppet used by the marxist left to gain power! If you don’t believe me read Biden’s policies! Also, the fact the Democrat party supports the anti-American, anti-Semitic, marxist organization called Black Lives Matter should prove my point nicely!

    2. @Bert Johnson I see you’re flaunting your ignorance again. It was George Bush and the repugnicants who caused the housing crisis by a combination of deregulation and motivating banks to create subprime mortgages. By the way, human lives matter and blacks are human. Your argument is without foundation and totally worthless.

    3. @John PrivateLastName wrong, it was the Democrat Congress that regulated the banks, not George Bush administration.. projecting is not your suit…

    4. @Bert Johnson you’re right, the Democrats regulated the banks and the repugnicants de-regulated them which is what allowed them to create subprime mortgages. You’re right again, projecting is not my suit, that’s why I don’t do it. I can see that dishonesty is your suit and you use it liberally.

  10. What are conservatives trying to conserve? Slavery? Misogyny? Elitism? Seems like it’s a losing proposition all around.

    1. Trumps not a true conservative. We just don’t like the direction democrats are going. Government overreach will happen with democrats

  11. Liberals aren’t “anti-right,” they’re pro-universal healthcare, anti-racism, anti-sexism, anti-bigotry, anti-police brutality, pro-social welfare state, etc. I don’t know any liberals who are “anti-right,” they are pro-their own policies.

    1. @CITRUS KNIGHT he’s clueless based on what…your opinion?!? Yeah….. rrriiigggghhhtt. I feel so much better now. GTFOH

    2. @Jason Boyce – You are correct that the Democrats are “for” a number of policies that are designed to help the general public. They are unable to be “anti-right” because, ever since Nixon’s Impeachment, so many former Republicans have found a more suitable place within the Democratic Party. For me then the problem was that Nixon had sabotaged the peace talks twice in order to engineer his election/reelection. He gave no thought to the thousands of young people killed and disabled by the extended war. Of course, many Americans were there only as a result of the “draft”. In current terms, the Republicans have allowed McConnell to bottleneck our entire government, and they gave Trump a free pass when it may have been the only way to remove him from office peacefully. Projections are that Americans will have a death toll of over 400,000 before the January, 2021 inauguration.
