Garland made the right move. If he had proceeded without Special Counsel, eventually Loser 45 would have gone judge shopping to force a one to be named, tying up the process with multiple litigation. This way, a smaller bump in the road will occur. Charges are coming Humpty, there is no escape.
It would have been better to prosecute within two years. However, you are right – at this point, it is good to use a special prosecutor. Mr. Smith has the reputation of being smart and tough.
