At least McConnell is there on the ground helping his people….. wait…
Exactly.
Just like Cancun Cruz…
even Trump voters don’t like McConnell and called him a snake… but to be fair all politicians is like that, they’ll only appear to care if that gets them votes..
@Carl G lol yes. Biden will be there tomorrow. Smh.
@Carl G Biden will be in KY tomorrow, if he’s not already there. That’s the only point i made.
And i have no problems throwing stones at McConnell regardless personally.
We had a flood in 2016 and weren’t in a “flood plain. Neighbors said never had flood water here above the ankles. Spent 4 days in shelters and we were luckier than a lot around here we didn’t lose our house, though did need repair. God help you people and please elect people that really care!!!!
Last fight https://youtu.be/pq9yyaZ25YI
right on!!
Agreed! Vote red!!
Every mountain valley is a flood plain
@Joshua V brainwashed cult?
Wasn’t expecting Kentucky flood victim Mr. Click to attribute the flooding to climate change and admire his doing so. Bless him and his community at this time.
@sushi bois you been here? I bet I’ve been here longer and you are spewing stereotype bs
@lillian p you have a vested interest in that place therefore your opinion is always going to be bias
@sushi bois no I know what I see, most are not bad people🙄
I feel for these people, I can’t imagine the struggle they’re going through having lost so much, and now having to rebuild.
The last gentleman is right, people are seeing the inevitable result of our governments ignoring climate change since the the 70s. While this is shocking to many of the people being affected by it now, it shouldn’t be. People can continue to deny it all they like, I know for a fact that in the 1980’s we had scientists explaining EXACTLY what we’re seeing now. They got it completely right.
This is going to get worse.
I’ll echo what other’s have said – you have to VOTE for better.
You cannot keep voting for the same people who have failed you every step of the way for decades. Democrats can’t stop climate change right now, but they will and they are passing legislation to make things better for your kids and grand kids, to reduce the impact, to start to restore the balance, and they will do a damn lot more than Republicans to make it easier for everyone to live through it and deal with our changing environment.
Look on the bright side they will get help, without having to beg or praise the President, and I am sure when Biden comes to see the damage, he won’t be throwing paper towels at them.🙏🏼
“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Matthew 5:38-39¤
@In the name of Jesus Christ What does smite mean?
@In the name of Jesus Christ Matthew is the most Roman of the the Gospels. If you want to control folks what is better than sacred texts that tell you not to resist.
@Symptom of the Universe Double true
There will be no tossing of paper towels nor blaming the flood on citizens for not using enough sand bags or raking their forests.
Amen!!!
We’ll just hear something that doesn’t make sense like “glib a dab a bodu” from Biden. BTW, president Trump helping handing out essential supplies after a hurricane is extremely rare for any president.
My heart goes out to these “survivors” of this devastating flood.
Hurricane Katrina
The one thing I will never understand is why they have a senator that never does anything for them and they keep him. He has the ability to make something happen.
I think Mitch has the “keep em down and under stress” mentality that way he has power
@allen elswick Dude, no one is randomly dissing Kentucky. It’s a beautiful state with good people but yes it ranks really low!
Here’s the most favorable set of rankings I found.
#44 Health Care
#36 Education
#40 Economy
#18 Infrastructure
#20 Opportunity
#48 Fiscal Stability
#13 Crime & Corrections
#29 Natural Environment
#41 Overall Rank

40 years is an incredible amount of time without seeing such flooding, then being overwhelmed. These people have been ripped out by the root.
Devastating – this is unreal. My heart goes out to them all. Blessings.

when he said “everything’s wet” I felt that
They need to rebuild with the knowledge that this can happen again and sooner than they think .
Looking at the FEMA floodplain map of Hindman, KY., pretty much every dwelling is in a flood plain, so this was expected, In 1974 when I was 8yo, our house was flooded, so as an adult, every home In purchased ended up on an elevated spot, that was me not even thinking about being in a floodplain or not, it just a subconscious thing for me, kinda strange, but good.
I hope they get more help than their politicians were willing to support for New York after the hurricane.
I never would have thought of call them victims.
Flooding like this. Exactly like this happened 40 years ago and will happen again unless those communities figure a way to divert or contain that much water coming down again. The government including local, State, and Federal should help them develope plans and infrastructure to minimize future flooding. You can rebuild but saving future lives should be the priority. Hope the local communities get the help they need and soon.
Survivors, not victims. Be generous and gracious…especially to oneself. Courageous suffering begets fierce joy.
Prayers from Louisiana. We feel your grief. We’ve had our share of devastation.
