More than 20 people, including 6 children, were killed when a Russian missile strike ripped through an apartment building in Uman, Ukraine. In the wake of the attack, the townspeople have already begun to pick up the pieces as they grapple with heartbreak and profound loss. CNN's Nic Robertson reports. #CNN #News
We Londoners made it through the Blitz in WWII. We hunkered down and fought on.People in Ukraine are no different than us. They are creative and adaptive – the embodiment of freedom and grit over tyranny. I feel it’s our moral obligation to defend their existence. Tricky 🇬🇧 🇺🇦
@Алексей Лукьянов take bakhmut then Russian Nazis
@Essence of Orderfacts!
it’s amazing what people still do in the name of religion. this is russia’s “holy war” and i just saw a picture of a russian citizen in a car with a inflatable nuke on top with their preferred target listed. pretty incredible stuff for a christian nation. as they say, no hate like christian love.
Don’t blame religion for this. Ukrainians are very religious, but we retain our humanity and respect the dignity of all life. Some people, unfortunately, corrupt religion to serve their geopolitical and imperialistic ambitions.
Never in the history of ruzzia have they been religious.
@Randy Watson Are you directing your comment to Putin? How are any protests in Moscow being handled by the Russian govt these days?
God bless Ukraine 🇺🇦 🇺🇦🇺🇦❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
No
yes
RE: Title
Writing from Germany: Honestly, I also feel disdain for your Russian neighbors right now – same goes for quite a lot of our Russian neighbors who are living in our country as well; they are getting rather mixed reviews here right now. Russians once were considered one of the minorities that were the most acculturated and integrated, especially here in the southern part of our country. Then we had to realize, that a vast majority of them are completely remote controlled by the Kremlin. So, that whole situation also changed virtually over night back in February 2022.
Turns out they hate NATO now – and also the country that gave them a home, freedom and stability to thrive and have families (some of them are here in the 3rd generation). For me personally, this amounts to treacherous behaviour – and I am sick of their willful aggressive stupidity and ignorance. If they don’t consider Germany their home – not even that, they rather consider it as part of some kind of evil NATO-axis… then why are they actually still here?
@Алексей Лукьянов Correct. Germany is building several LNG terminals, Norway has increased its gas production, and the U.S. is sending tankers full of LNG to Europe. The upshot is that Putin has less money to kill Ukrainians with and Russia becomes poorer. 😆
@Алексей Лукьянов Поздравляю россиян с уровнем зарплат приближающимся к кндр, как там в вашем “сср” – без разницы сколько главное чтобы хватало?
@alex silent exactly ❤
@alex silent Soviet Union were not A country but a union of countries, Soviet is no more. Ukraine IS a country, and hence a province can not “just” defect from a country, just like Siberia cannot “just” defect from Russia.
Hungary tried to get out of the warsaw pact, and this resulted in Russia sending in tanks against the civilian population, I said in 1956 not 2023, and no Hungary is not pro russian, Orban is, there is a huge difference.
The sheer amount of approving and cheering comments by ordinary Russians under videos about the atrocities committed against civilians and prisoners of war in Ukraine were no less shocking to Ukrainians than the war itself.
We somehow got used to the war, but the realization of who we have been living next to all this time without even knowing it is still terrifying.
Those barbarians called themselves our brothers.
Imagine what they would do to you, who they call their enemies, if you let them.
Not supplying weapons to Ukraine under the pretext of achieving an early peace would be like allowing a violator to violate his victim in order to end the violence as soon as possible.
@Sunny Rajput The Russians are so decent they are destroying Ukraine. Why would Americans use an anti-tank weapon on a ‘compound’? You need to edit your imaginary story.
@Sunny Rajput I left military 20 years ago due to medical reasons so never severed overseas. With age I have gained wisdom and faith in God. Unfortunately faith in God is dwindling in the West and society is on the collapse with more hate and than peace and love which both the Bible
and Quran revolve around. In these times of Turmoil the end is near and both the Bible and Quran tell us Jesus (Isa). We are brothers under the same God only one God the father and Allah are the same God. 🙏🏼
@Sunny Rajput you are ignoring Russian caused genocide just because Russia helped you once 50 years ago. Ukraine was also USSR they helped too
@Essence of Order maybe some in India support Russia as an old reliable friend. However my support is not really a support of aggression of military action but the support of the legitimate will of the Russian speaking population that lives on the eastern border of Ukraine that they feel much more in love with Russia than the West.
Also I see Russian concerns about nato being hosted at their border very legitimate.
America could never tolerate a foreign military alliance adding mexico or Canada to its membership, so why do they wanna do this to Russia?
@Sunny Rajput There is a simple solution to this, Russian’s in eastern Ukraine should move to Russia. Its not that far, only a couple hours drive in most cases. Russia could provide buses for those without cars. But trying to take the land is imperialism. If Russia would be a better neighbor, maybe all of its neighbors wouldn’t want to join NATO for protection.
Understandable ‼️‼️‼️
In karnataka state Assembly elections to be held under the UNO and FBI observation is necessary please protect the democracy in karnataka state
The wheel of war continues, and the cycle of hatred goes on.
How do you expect the Ukrainians to feel? How would YOU feel?
@Natalie Turko I guess, Ukrainians feel regret about their mistakes in the past which brought them to this hell.
@alex silent 100K+ Russian fascists dead and wounded in the last five months – yes 5 months. Putin must hate it when people fight back. 😆 Here’s that number steadily increasing 🍻
@alex silent they probably feel pride toppling a giant like they did. Ukraine broke the illusion of Russian strength
How the Ukrainians feel remain Justifiable
WW2 had a war goal that included an exit plan
I feel like Russia is paying for and building the bombs amd drones as they go lol.
Made 100, use them! Build more in a couple months, use them, and repeat lol 😂
If they had a ton of them, why wouldn’t they just completely overwhelm Ukraine? 0_o
Not expecting brotherly love from warring factions.
I have a couple of friends from Ukraine. A year ago I asked them how they felt about Putin and they said quite frankly that they hated him. That was a year ago. I can imagine now how that hatred has grown.
Liar
My Ukrainian friends hate Zelensky and Biden.
Im so sorry you feel hate
This is an appalling act on innocent Ukrainian civilians by Russia! How on earth can the perpetrators of this carnage live with themselves! May the good Lord bring Ukraine a just peace (with the return of Crimea). May Our Lady of Zarvanytsia comfort all who are mourning the loss of loved ones. May all Ukrainians who have died Rest in Peace. May God’s Kingdom and not Putin’s reign. The Kremlin needs exorcism as a matter of urgency.
Ukraine fights on battlefield Russians fights civillians
Russia winning “hearts and minds” about as effectively as their armies perform.
Its good to hate evil……
God bless Ukraine 🇺🇦🙏
