still remember the red cross charging our boys 25c for their donuts…well i didn’t but my aunt sure did. i am surprised at all the people who still remember that and it was around ww2 or right after that they are thinking about..i mentioned giving a donation to the salvation army and a lady i met over a business call (20+ years ago) said “just so it’s not the red cross” and then went on about the 25c business…we don’t and shouldn’t forget-to a level that exceeds trump’s level of evil
@AuntieS412 Seems the Red Cross hasn’t changed then. People all over the world donated to the Red Cross for the Australian Bush Fire appeal. It raised well over $100 million. 6 months after the fires they had only distributed 4% of that money. They are taking 22% as administration fees, and all the bank interest. And say they will hand out the money over the next 4 years “as need arises”. Meanwhile, there are people nearly a year later, who don’t have a home. The Red Cross funds were supposed to be for helping them rebuild.
I always donated to the Red Cross and never will again. Our entire country won’t. It’s scandalous.
No-one donate to them for the US wildfire fund. Bunch of crooks!

I have never heard a political party have a Convention without a platform. I never heard a President promise a tax cut for the middle class right before a mid term election and then never mention it again. Mexico is going to pay for the Wall? lock up Hillary? There are schools of thought which hold that “urgency” and “importance”are two separate systems for setting priorities; such ad OUR COMMUNITY (eg. national) PRIORITY. Paraphrased as, “some things are urgent some, things are important, somethings are both.” thank you for reading this theory.

There was apparently an attempt at fraud in Paterson and it was caught. Voter fraud is quite rare and extremely difficult to get away with.

So now there are two important issues for Democrats to run on: Healthcare and the Supreme Court as one can’t exist without the other.
And climate change mitigation, plus federal funds for public schools, poor children, increased elderly & disabled income who live below the poverty level, federal funds restored to major government programs, ie, CDC, FDA, FEMA, SNAP, FCC, FEC, DHS, Energy program, HUD, etc. It’s important to note that $1.2 trillion was drained from the federal govrn. in the form of huge tax cuts for the wealthy and wealthiest in 2017.
And the Corona virus. Can’t leave that out.
