Depending on how ‘old’ you are, you may have lived through world war 2, the Cuban missile crisis, and any number of previous domestic and international civil unrest, wars, conflict and strife. By comparison – as important as ending systemic racism and intolerance is – some rioting and violence (awful as it is for those directly affected) is peanuts. Old people have lived with and through a LOT, long before this latest civil unrest appeared.
