@thomas fletcher He was not acquitted. It doesn’t work that way. The House votes for Impeachment. And they only brought forward 2 of the 15 crimes he committed that they could have. The Senate only decides for removal or not. Even the Republicans agreed he was guilty, they simply did not vote for removal. Trump is… forever and always… Impeached.

I live in Australia, our minimum wage is $19 per hour. Only juniors get that salary! We have 4 weeks annual leave. We have paid parental leave, maternity leave, free education, OH&S that works, healthcare for all. YES America we do pay higher taxes, but our life expectancy is higher than yours, our education is higher than yours, and we are rated 3rd best country to live in – you are 13th.
Concerning stats for CVD19 – we currently have 3 deaths per million people, you have 150 dead per million. We have flattened the curve … you ?

While we in Canada can also appreciate and share a lot of the common values and citizen rights, unfortunately we were a little slow dealing with the Coronavirus outbreak. But what is happening south of us is a horror show.

Our media is now pushing the line (you know, talking about it many times) that now might be the right time to relax our current path. I think it’s still too early to ease social distances. Some of the councils the other day (in Sydney) opened their beaches for “exercise only” – but had to close them as the crowds turned up and there was no way they were exercising (unless you count sun-bathing as a form) and it was difficult to keep the 1.5 mtrs distance. Now we have WA relaxing some of theirs, also QLD is relaxing some there too … we will see. Unfortunately although we’ve tested a lot of people (but heaps more per capita than usa). We have not tested the “general population” and its those that will be out & about!
Cant afford air conditioning ,electric to high ,homes are 6 digit and everyone is unemployed nice place .
