I love how when Biden suggested on switching/abolishing the oil industry, everyone froze. Trump was more than happy that he said that and even the moderator asked him why he said that.
Biden just lost the entire midwest and states from Texas to South Dakota with that statement. Probably Pennsylvania and Ohio too
He is right though. We cannot stick to fossil fuels forever, we have many alternative, renewable and less polluting options that would offer a ton of jobs but the oil compagnies pay to fight progress. The same way books were burnt in the old times.
@Incognito The only closest renewable energy that we can use that even comes close to the oil industry is nuclear energy. Dems will NEVER allow that, they think oil is the devil, you think they will bow to nuclear energy?
@Doug Doug The current nuclear energy isn’t renewable at all though, it currently is limited to our relatively small amount of uranium on Earth
@Incognito Do you know that roughly 6000 products are oil based. It’s not as easy as just stopping the use of fossil fuels. Jobs, products, families and individuals all rely on oil. A gradual shift will occur and when it does do you think there will be new energy companies? The oil companies will just be the new energy companies because they are using R&D to make sure that happens.The real issue is what do we do when that shift happens but india, china, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other large polluting countries refuse to clean up their energy sector.
