@Jelly Belly because per amount of REPORTED CASES(you can have and show no symptoms at all) it’s around 2 percent death rate whereas flu .002 ish, but many more people die from the flu, just more cases are reported because its expected so its looked for. So he isn’t lying there, based on the numbers at all, BUT it’s kind of misleading because we still need to see a total number of cases reported and deaths to give a final fair rate and many people may have it and never show symptoms which means they wouldnt get checked most likely either. Which we wont know totals until it ends. I’m all for changing my stance, God forbid it does take a turn for the worse, but as of now it’s not killing people rapidly or in numbers as high as the flu in total or approaching it. I will post an article from last year about the flu so it’s not influenced by this current dilemma at all. Good article because at least it gives total death numbers, etc.

@Jelly Belly this has killed a little over 4000 people in our country so far, much less than 57000, the world total isn’t even 57000 for the Coronavirus
@Jelly Belly the 2017 to 2018 flu season in the US totaled 61000 flu related deaths. This virus is on pace to be nowhere near that as of yet. The WHO says the flu kills 290000 to 650000 people annually. Also much higher numbers than current coronavirus numbers worldwide with less than 50000 globally still

My God, this is so tragically disorganized in the USA. My federal and provincial leaders in Canada are from opposing parties and do not like each other, I imagine, but they are working together for the good of the people. News conferences are helpful and rely on science. We sent supplies when China was having the worst trouble, but they are now sending us more PPE than we sent them.
I have family in the USA. I am so worried for you all. It doesn’t have to be this way.
