Watch people travel in Virgin Hyperloop for the first time

Virgin Hyperloop completed the first test of its high-speed transportation technology with humans on board. The company's hyperloop pod traveled 500 meters and reached speeds of 100mph.

    1. that’s what happens to your body after you ride that thing, it’s not totally flat…
      it’s kind of …Wath looking

    1. Remember all the TOXIC WASTE that used to End up in the Rivers in the 1970s? Did you know they just put it into planes called Chem Trails in the Skies, so Our Skies are filled With TOXIC WASTE….

    2. @The Write In President Pssst. Pssst. Hey. Hey you. Yeah, you. You want some low cost bleach syringes and tin foil? I got hats. Sunlight lightbulbs….all sorts of QAnon branded products.

    1. @Hans Bjorkman What the heck are you talking about ? There’s no train that can go 670 mph… 100 mph was just a small test track. Once all the other tech is in place, going faster is relatively easy inside in a hyperloop tube.

    2. @Hans Bjorkman yea, there are trains doing faster now, but they’ve kinda been played out. There isn’t a whole lot of room for innovation. Hyper loop though is a new technology and the 100mph tag is simply the first passenger test on a small track. The aim is to effectively double what other trains do in a more sustainable way.

There was never a chance in hell they’d do 600mph on their first real passenger test.

    3. @VP Perf Hyper-loop is just another Gadget-bahn! High speed rail is offers far more capability at far less cost or technical complexity.

    4. @Hans Bjorkman Dude it was just a small test, in the actual service they will be going faster than any train or aircraft ever goes.

  1. Still vapour ware. I think I’ll take Thunderf00t’s view on it till they get the cost of putting track down to cheaper than rail.

    1. Bet a one way ticket would cost more than my life savings. Swhy I’ve ever even been to France by Chunnel.

    2. @The Write In President – Never learned to use judicious thinking did you? There are SO many things wrong with your approach to critically thinking through your dark fantasy that, based on experience with people like you, it’s not worth going deeper. You want your fantasy to be true because it makes your FUD seem justified and feels like it gives you inside knowledge. Well, good for you. You wish a fantasy was true and have convinced yourself it is. Seek help.

    3. @Ghostshadow714 -Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle says you can’t know location and speed exactly. So, if you know exactly where that train is, then it just might be going any speed, including 1200+ MPH.

  2. Who doesn’t know the “Wath”. An advanced race of aliens living among us.^^

Hey Quanon..take that for a conspiracy.

Edit: They corrected the title from wath to watch, so that my comment looks silly now. Outrageous! ^^

    1. @Citizen Kane said, “Edit: They corrected the title from wath to watch, so that my comment looks silly now. Outrageous! ^^”

Well, CK, the Wath like to do that kind of bait and switch. It undermines the credibility of those who expose their existence among us.

    1. you could sense a palpable relief in mission control that it didn’t crash and burn. not sure if that’s the kind of reception I want getting out of a vehicle.

    2. Funny, they said the same thing to the Write brothers about flying. Yes accidents happen even car crashes but I don’t see people giving up their cars…do you?

  3. *SOME BIG THINGS COMING TO VEGAS*
So excited to be able to take this hyperloop instead of driving 3 hours of pure desert to get to california lol

    1. @Deborah Freedman Why do you need a vacuum, Deborah? Mag-lev works just fine in open air. At 1/10 the cost.

    2. @Deborah Freedman So what happens at a stop, Deborah? A door opens. The seal of the vacuum must be broken. “A few stops along the way” in a vacuum tube means every train has to stop at the same time, otherwise the whole system loses vacuum seal and falls APART. This is a really STUPID system.

    3. @G S do you really? Haha ugh I hate it. It’s all the same, dirt dirt dirt mountain dirt… lol I’ve made the drive to California many times and over. No scenery

    1. @Melvin Gullard really….how many successful Jets have you designed, built, and have had millions of passengers safely travel on?

    2. @METAHTAMBEAST yea, my cellphone always switches Boeing For Boing, the later being a fruit juice company
It also likes to change watermelon to water melancholic 🤦‍♂️
Maybe this corrector was made by Boeing hahahaha

    1. Shhh, don’t spoil the reality of the massive greenhouse emissions generated by digging a tunnel. Don’t ruin it. Fact is, having fun and traveling will always consume a lot of resources!

  4. I know it’s fast, but my question is how much would it hypothetically cost to ride and maintain the hyperloop as opposed to highspeed train?

    1. Too Much xD It’s not just a rail on a bed or a track. Look at how small the pod is, imagine how many or how big you’d have to make those to fit a bunch of people travelling in place of buses, trains, planes whatever. It’s very unrealistic compared to a train when you look at the cost vs return. These things will be massive or there will be hundreds going in one direction at a time and if one breaks down the probability of killing dozens or hundreds of people at a time is high. Presumably, this is a vacuum tube which could cause a lot of problems if there’s a crash or explosion of any sort. It’s a great technology but we’re decades away from doing anything meaningful with it. The amount of time to build the tunnels plus get prices to where they’re competitive and people want to use them is hard to overlook.

    2. @FirstName LastName I mean it’s kinda like the Concorde I guess. The Concorde was supposed to be the future of aviation so it costed crazy money to fly on it. Yes I know part of it is because the Concorde is expensive as hell to operate.
