Large cube vans and transport trucks can’t clean the top and they can cause a lot problems
There is actually a company that does clean the snow off transports.
Rosedale Group in Edward’s has a guy that gets up there with a ladder ever snowfall the trucks are sitting.
There’s structures that can be used, you drive through and it scrapes the top of the trailer, there’s also a brushing attachment for tractors that can clean the top of a trailer.
No excuse for laziness
Tens of thousands of extra Canadians have died in the last couple years & this is news….
How is a Trailer to be cleaned off when it’s 12 + feet in the air, Dangerous, slippery, and inaccessible?
In fact, under Labor Laws one must have a height 🪜 certification above 3′ off the ground. Unless someone comes Up with a roof tarp protector?, Defroster concept or some creative idea. Truckers are handcuffed for the time being.
There already tools for this. The example, there’s a structure you can drive through that clears snow off the top, or there’s a giant brush that fits in a forklift/tractor that can reach and clear snow.
It can be done. Not saying it’s cheap or won’t delay you but it can adjust be done if trucking companies would invest.
$130 fine? And what if it kills somebody? $200?
if only this happened to Turdeau’s convoy leaving Ottawa yesterday
