  1. Time to ” Do Something ” Nothing is not acceptable. The Senate & Trump must accelerate , not delay. School is starting soon or has allready started.

    1. David Ellis so few kids die in school shootings, statistically it’s negligible. Traumatic yes.

If we want to do something, allow admin to carry, or armed guards at schools. If “gun free zone” signs are effective enough, why not cut costs with the military… drop expenses with body armor and buy shirts that day “bullet free zone”

    2. David Ellis : Moscow Mitch gets his Russian money, laundered through the NRA. No hope of change, under those circumstances . . . Ban Lobbying? Legalised Corruption, by which the rich can BUY our politics. It’s kind of OBVIOUS? . . . Smh

  2. in germany people have been handing down their familys hunting rifles/shotguns for couple century’s now because theres a difference between a hunting weapon and a modern military weapon some white supremacist needs to feel like a real man.
200 year old hunting weapons are better(more accurate, more reliable, well maintained probably safer too) then ar15’s…for hunting animals.

    1. @Walt Schmidt own what a bomb? tell that to ted kazinski and anyone with the internet and 20 bucks worth of hardware store goods. and maybe half a brain, or half sane.
im actually a bit pro gun, just when we have people that can handle it.

if your worried about weapons laws maybe re-legalize stiletto knives, outlawed because italian immigrants used them, nunchuks because people assumed asians used them, brass knuckles because hispanics or blacks or someone who cant get a gun in a racist community might use them. switch blades… went after mack 10’s i think during drug wars…
just a gun lobbyist, america already has 300 million guns if you havnt noticed, everyone can have one if they want. difference is if your not white then police say you are a danger.

    2. Diana Hulstine I’m confused. Are we National Socialists or are we Russians? You do realize that we can’t be both, so which is it?

    3. @GreensOplenty

*Better and safer for who? When the predators kick your door in carrying semiautos, you better have superior firepower or they’re going to take your life and your 130 year old family heirloom.*

  3. If you think you need, or have a right to, own a weapon of war, you are mentally unstable and just the person we all need to look out for. Period.

    1. @HUKABUKtx67 “It doesn’t say we have the right to own weapons of war. It says states can maintain a militia.”

Why do the state constitutions define militia as the citizenry then? Why do SCOTUS already rule that it is an individual right to possess firearms?

“Why don’t you look it up before you embellish our constitution.”

Same to you. What you feel about firearms is irrelevant to the argument. You are just another who fears things they don’t understand.

    2. @Katherine M. “…Warren Burger said the gun lobby’s interpretation of the 2nd amendment is the “biggest fraud” he had ever seen.”

That is odd considering the decision that SCOTUS came to that establishes that the right to bear arms is an individual right and then firearms that have no sporting or military purpose should not be owned.

“He repeated the word Fraud for emphasis.”

Many people think the second amendment is only about sporting rights. Many other countries don’t have the second amendment yet sporting purposes as a majority are not threatened. Do you actually think that second amendment is about hunting?

“He said the intention was for a “well regulated militia” as in military professionals -not for the general population to own any kind of gun they wanted.”

That is odd considering that well regulated in the founding documents of the United States never meant legislation in their own contexts. If you know history then the second amendment was created after the defeat of Britain after they attempted to tax the U.S. colonies via monarchy without representation. The British then went on to confiscated firearms in Concord – the Revolutionary War was on.

The founders themselves believed they could become tyrannical or the U.S. could become tyrannical given time. The second amendment is to counter that. It is for the intent of violently rebelling against government that is what the founders wrote over and over and they argued over every comma in the amendment.

In the end it doesn’t matter what you think as the right to bear arms has already been established as an individual right. To take things further is going to require an amendment which in all probability is not going to happen. If something is forced through and the constitution is ignored than it will trigger civil war increasing gun violence not reducing it.

No matter what gun control types want they fail gun control is a dubious proposition.

    3. @HUKABUKtx67 it doesn’t military does it. I says militia because “The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” We are the people.

    1. But, but, it was his right to own a gun remember; every person in America who believes that should be shot.

    2. I. M. : Moscow Mitch gets his Russian money, laundered through the NRA. No hope of change, under those circumstances . . . Ban Lobbying? Legalised Corruption, by which the rich can BUY our politics. It’s kind of OBVIOUS? . . . Smh

  4. Remember when t’rump invited those Parkland victims to the WH and someone had to write down in his notes “I hear you” so that he’d remember to feign empathy? 🤔
They should have kept those notes for him when he visited El Paso! 😄😆😅😂

    1. “…no more weapons of war,…”

Weapons of war is vague. Knives are issued to soldiers, so are Hummers. Halberds have been used, swords, maces etc. Bolt action rifles were commonly used in war in World War 1 and WW2 so do we ban Mosin Nagant rifles? What about Nagant revolvers? The AR-15 hasn’t been accepted by the U.S. military the M-16 has they are different rifles and operate differently.

    2. @bobbybrown1967able “It’s time to do something about it before more kids get killed”

Infinitely more likely that they die in a car accident, drowning, heart disease, obesity take your pick. Being killing in a gun massacre is similar in odds to being struck by lighting even in the U.S..

    3. @s0fa “…damage these weapons cause is similar to what soldiers witness in war.”

Mosin Nagants are weapons of war. They are still being used against the U.S. military. Ban those as well?

    1. @Margaret Peeler your not conservative so you support the mass murder of the unborn right? I could care less about what you call empathy.

    2. I live in South Florida, in a dangerous area, and had many friends that went to Douglas during the shooting including one that was killed. I’ve had many friend killed throughout the years by guns. Gun violence has directly affected me, my friends and my family. Like you said, you clearly don’t care because it doesn’t affect you personally. I DO NOT feel safe without a gun, period. You have no clue, you hear things like this on the news and think about how sad it is, living it is completely different. When you live in an area where you see convicted felons open carrying, you would understand that these don’t happen at the hands of law abiding citizens. It is a fact that violent crime in America has been on a steady decline since the 1990s, Pew research shows that in 2013 gun related deaths were half the rate they were in 1993. Research shows that 66% of gun deaths are suicides, of the remaining 33%, only 3% of homicides were carried out using rifles; there are more people stabbed to death every year than killed with a rifle. A study in in Chicago in 2015 showed that only 3% of inmates who used a gun legally purchased it.

Crime research shows 68% of gun homicides occur in only 5% (about 150) of counties out of the 3,007 in the US, over 51% occur in only 2% (about 60) counties, and 37% of the US gun homicides occur in only 1% (about 30) counties. In 2014, 54% of the counties in the United States had 0 murders. This is not a national issue, so stop pushing it like it is. Don’t be trying to take my defense out of my hand simply because you hear some stuff on the news. Legally bought guns and legal owners of guns are not an issue, between 2007 and 2015 murder rates in the US dropped 16% and crime rates dropped 18% even though the number of adults with conceal carry permits jumped up by 190%. It is a fact that conceal carry permit holders are among the most law-abiding citizens in this country. Legal owners are not the problem, criminals are. People who take other people’s lives don’t care about laws, it is very easy to get a gun: I see the black markets with illegal guns for sale all the time, you can even 3D print them now. All gun control will do is cause law abiding citizens to be defenseless in a time of need.

  5. The right under the SECOND AMENDMENT is still under the police power of the state.

Measures can be had to prevent the abuse of exercising such right.

The police power of the state is superior to that right since it caters to serve the welfare of all the people as compared to individual person who wants to exercise his right under the SECOND AMENDMENT.

    1. @The SmorgMan it was you who flipped it.

The power of the state is above all subject to the prescribed constitutional limitations as interpreted by the Supreme Court.

    2. *_All rights described in the “Bill of Rights” apply specifically and solely to the People, not to the government or any component of it. If the framers wanted to specify that government-controlled entities could be armed, they would have included language to that effect elsewhere in the Constitution. That the rights of the people to keep and bear arms is in the Bill Of Rights is confirmation that it is an individual right of each citizen, just as much as all the other rights described in the first 10 amendments._*

    3. @LAST CALL i do not agree.

It is the state authority to enact legislation that may interfere with personal liberty or property in order to promote general welfare.

General welfare is not for specific individuals but for everyone.

      Salus populi est suprema lex

Sic utere tuo alienum non laedas

    4. @golong 1

*Disarmament and leaving the citizenry defenseless while failing to provide for its security is not promoting general welfare, it is creating soft targets and dead people, the type of “state authority” that your talking about is called tyranny, and is one of the reasons that the founding fathers wrote the second amendment in the first place.*

    1. Gene Roles you’re right-and the quacks who want assault rifles without having to serve within the military have even smaller balls. Teeny tiny balls.

    2. You’re describing McConnell as a victim; he’s an accomplice. He’s also accepted lobbyist money from voting machine companies whose software has vulnerabilities to hacking. He has stopped Election Security legislation. His home state of Kentucky is the recipient of an Aluminum processing plant that included a $200 million investment from Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska’s company Rusnal. Deripaska had been on the government’s sanction list. In other words, Connect The Dots.

  6. Always the same!

We get passion, we get talk, and still, nothing gets done!

And these republicans could care less who gets killed, so long as it doesn’t interfere with their campaign donations!

Those people’s lives mean absolutely nothing to them!

  7. 2020 will be here before you know it! Make sure you vote and get these bums that are holding back progress out of office!

  8. Ari, you need to stop interrupting. I really hate that about your show. That’s why I can only take so much of you.

  9. Rifles (including assault weapons) are used in 2% of gun violence. We have a right to own them. That’s pretty much where the debate stops.
