Looks like they got caught in the nets underwater from all the videos I’ve seen
So they were SHAKING the bridge…
Darwinism at its finest.
It happens in india everywhere
I’ve shaken swing bridges before and they never collapsed because I live in Canada 😂
This is bad engineering, the victims aren’t at fault whatsoever.
Exactly.
@Wayne Johnson Bad engineering that stood for 100 years?
@Joe Madden Until it was recently “repaired” apparently
Feel bad for the innocents that got caught up in the stupidity of others.
@bibi green They’re trying to be edgy and get noticed. Ignore them.
@Kyle Doucet this is true, from the experience of being there
@Kyle Doucet are you saying you are innocent and rest are not?
@bibi green just poo’s flushed down the loo
bridges should be built to withstand human shaking. Why don’t I build your house to the tolerance of this bridge and place 100% of the blame on you when it inevitably crushes you to death?
Tragic but doing stupid stuff while ignoring weight limits is a commendable way to win a Darwin award.
@Wayne Johnson This bridge is not from the 21st century, I’m afraid. Either you need to complete your initial argument by ending it as “…it was 19th century British India” or accept that you’re raised in a proud racist household.
@Aditya Raj “accept you’re raised in a proud racist household” 😂
So criticizing another countries infrastructure is racist? 🤡
@Wayne Johnson Merely saying “… it’s India” is far from criticism.
@Wayne Johnson assuming it’s garbage solely because it was built by Indians is racist, yes. Which you did. Thanks for coming out as a bigot though, just another useless lump we can all safely ignore until you die and are forgotten in your irrelevance.
@Wayne Johnson British built
if it couldn’t take a couple idiots bouncing around, it probably wasn’t safely engineered to begin with
150 years old 😢
@Sandeep Sharma I know…but no one told them to waddle it? That just made it WORSE!..smh
@Jools Stoo 😂 that’s exactly why it fell. Who let’s a bridge stay in operation for that long?
Look up resonance amplification.
@Till Krudeau True…
Armies always break step to prevent bridges like this from collapsing. It looks like they tempted fate by bouncing on the bridge with enough of them in unisom until it broke.
you understand nothing. modern bridge are built to withstand missiles and marching. bridges are meant to be incredibly strong. They should also undergo inspection on a regular basis. Those bridges you are referring to are temporary military logistics bridges.
no bridge can withstand a powerful enough resonant frequency
it does not look they put so much power in the resonant frequency. probably the steel of the cable bridge is very bad quality.
The bridge is not designed for bouncing.
Or walking
But it is supposed to be designed to withstand strong winds and the elements. If it can’t withstand some bouncing, then the construction isn’t up to par.
The stupidity….. Is absolutely astounding
Why were they shaking the bridge
My heart goes out to the bridge for having to deal with constant idiots up until its death.
Ikr bridge lives matter 🙏
Just In the span of 1 month,
1. Kanjuruhan, Indonesia
2. Itaewon, Korea
3. Gujarat, India
Amazing..
That’s a lot of covid deaths
They were literally asking the bridge to break lol now they have learned a lesson not to test a structure, especially old ones. Kinda too late tho
There is no cure for stupidity….
What did they repair, anyone know.
If this is how bridges are built in India, can you imagine the structural integrity of their other infrastructures.
I know, considering the bridge was almost 150 years old, massively overloaded with idiots swinging on it then the rest of their infrastructure must be in immaculate condition.
Dang, Korea and India both know how to celebrate Haloween.
Did you say they shook the bridge ? Purposely? I am not sorry for human stupidity then … They should be charged with mischief and public endangering others life 😤😠
They fall what,5 feet?
