The leader of the Russian private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, claimed a US citizen died in the embattled Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, in a video posted on the Wagner Telegram group. Prigozhin is shown inspecting a body, and inspects what he claims are US identification documents. Thing is, I wish news agencies would not use “rosie the riviter” as an example, for it’s an example of propaganda and the mis handling of truth. Just like Iwa Jima, the famous picture was re-shot and not the original marines. Nor were the marines that toured for war bonds, or rosa parks being celebrated for what two women did before her…
The real “rosie the riviter” quite after 3 days of work claiming it was too hard. Too many women did too much to have them blemished by a historical “grift.” They should have used a better model, some woman who really did do the work.
The Iwo Jima flag raising was only re-shot because a Marine Officer wanted a bigger flag that could be seen anywhere on the island.

She was working in a mine, but ya most Western countries allow women to serve in the combat arms. That is just the USA that doesn’t do that. At the end of the day though as it is even in Ukraine even it is rare to see woman in a combat position. They were immune to Ukraine’s drafts.
