The whole point of this show segment was to interpret the meaning of the president’s persistent denial of a race problem in the USA. To remind viewers that the president doesn’t see a race problem, the little clip was shown, but the little clip was not the point of the segment.

Newyn Yuno first off the founding fathers knew slavery was immoral. In fact the original plan was to phase slavery out over a period of 40 years so that they didn’t cripple the southern economy. However the creation of political parties and the introduction of special interest in our government caused southern Democrat’s to pressure the federal government to recognize slavery as a property right. However this issue was exasperated even more because of a weak succession of Presidents over that time span and an uneven House of Representatives. As for affirmative action it benefiting white women has been debunked in the past because it doesn’t mean anything when you account for population. I’m not saying hasn’t had a racist past and that there hasn’t been systemic racism but I am saying that right now in the year 2020 there is no such thing in this country as systemic racism or systematic oppression of any group of people.
