    1. This isn’t about protecting the banks, it’s about maintaining power and control for the CCP.

  1. Looks like a run on Chinese banks coming soon. Imagine wanting to access your own hard earned money and getting beaten up for it.

    1. @Anthony It isn’t happening now. But it did happen in the past, during the Great Depression. FDR declared a bank holiday, and prevented people taking their money from the bank. Banks still demanded mortgages be paid, and took money in. They just wouldn’t pay out.

    1. They simply don’t care, it’s all about power and money. They don’t care about the people or the planet, we will need to teach them.

  2. Imagine going to your bank and being told your account is frozen because we Said it is. . . must be horrible

    1. @jinwen zhou not at all. The run on the banks that happened before the Great Depression didn’t lead to police beatings.

    2. @outsider looking in you only say that because you don’t know what is really going on other than what the media shows you. Look up Tony Timpa.

    3. @outsider looking in we all live in a world where we all have the same economic theories therefore the effects are the same worldwide.
the difference is there is democracy in America, doesn’t have to be 100%
but in China there is no freedom, some may argue that China has freedom just like what the government is claiming but the truth is they only have about 20% freedom.
there is a shortage of cash (liquidity issue) in the banks because the government refuses to print more money in preparation for the DCEP digital yuan .
the Chinese government is going to force everyone to use the digital yuan very soon .

    4. @iTalk uListen this is why I only have half a million dollars deposited in the bank.
which is only about 1% of my total assets.
so I am not really worried.

  3. “upgrading our internal systems” = moving your money abroad so we can play with it and oops we lost it

    1. @Marie Catherine Laveau You’re welcome, although the government has issued this notice, it is still unknown whether the taxpayer’s money will be used to compensate depositors, and whether the money that has fled abroad will be recovered.

  4. watching security officers beat down a fellow citizen reminds me of something happening in another country on the other side of the world. 🤔

  5. The citizens weren’t in the wrong for this peaceful protest. Imagine how you’d feel if your banks had made it unable for you to take out the money that you’d spent so much time and effort to earn. The law enforcement didn’t see that though, and they used violence to quell the citizens instead of talking and trying to understand their point of view.

    1. @Travel Crawl 哈哈哈哈哈照你这话,我也特别喜欢看美国每天上演的枪击事件。

  6. In India so many cooperative banks went bankrupt but customers silently protested and never got what they had invested

  7. 0:50 “… The provincial authority… tampering with their health QR codes, which is such a basic necessity”…
Funny how such a dystopian statement is just stated out casually and no one blinks an eye.

    1. @Vivienne B since you do not know this you need to go educate yourself.

  8. Sadly, China has always been in a place to become literally the strongest country in the world for thousands of years. But whenever they get close to that point, stuff like this happens. Yellow Turban Rebellion, The Mongel invasion, which they could have won, but the rich needed golden palaces. Moa running orr to his MT fortress when Japan invaded, then after the war killing possibly 50 million ppl to secure power. This isnt anything new, and im glad the ppl r protesting. Hope something good comes from this.

    1. @Moon Whisperer
This is what google will yell at you.
With more than 4,000 years of recorded history, China is one of the few existing countries that also flourished economically and culturally in the earliest stages of world civilization.

  9. How can a human beat another human just for wanting to feed themselves and their family?Truely sickening to see how these protesters are being treated.

    1. Nah, it’s beautiful. Rage, rage into the dying light. We humans should express more anger so that politicians think twice about their corrupt actions and misdeeds. For example, the Sri Lanka situation.

  10. Imagine living in a country where they keep you from getting your money. And to add insult to injury, you have the same haircut as everyone else. 🤣
