The corrections officer, who escaped with an inmate from an Alabama prison and evaded authorities for more than a week, has died after the fugitives were taken into custody Monday, officials said.
Former corrections officer Vicky White, 56, and inmate Casey White, 38, were arrested after a police chase and subsequent car wreck in Evansville, Indiana, Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton said at a news conference Monday.

Is there any other way that Vicky White could have said more forcefully that Alabama justice is corrupt?

What did she think would happen? A few keystone cops would look for them a few days then give up? Did she feel that their “love” would conquer all? Were they going to build a cabin in the woods and live in obscure bliss for 20 years? Was this wicked criminal her ultimate “dreamboat?? What was she thinking?!?
That she was getting older & that the world’s just getting shittier, so wtf not.
Why did the sheriff allow only one officer to escort a dangerous convicted killer? Not to mention a female officer who was substantially smaller? That should be in question!
She was the senior in charge at the time.
