The vice presidential debate, featuring Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris, takes place at The University of Utah in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, October 7th at 9 p.m. ET. It will be moderated by USA TODAY’s Washington Bureau chief, Susan Page.

According to the Commission on Presidential Debates, the format for this debate will be nine topics of discussion given approximately 10 minutes of time, including an initial question-and-answer format and follow-up discussion.

USA TODAY will mobilize a team of reporters and fact checkers to provide context to the debate topics in real-time, within the livestream player and on social media, to help viewers understand the issues that will define the election as they are discussed by Pence and Harris on the stage in Salt Lake City.

    1. I thought she was okay except for enforcing the rules about _time._ Jeez that was annoying: “Thank you Mr. Vice President, Thank you Mr. Vice President, Thank you Mr. Vice President……..”. ONCE IS ENOUGH! More appropriate words would have been, “Mr. Vice President, you have exceeded your time and we are moving on,” followed immediately by her next question, talking right over the scumbag. Only once did I hear the moderator remind Pence of the rules. Harris went over time, too, but she wasn’t the first or the worst.
