Those transport operators are highly unreasonable if not outright disgusting! For them to complain that the time given (February 2023) is too short to pay outstanding traffic tickets – the nerve! These road hogs are unapologetic and dangerous. They should be happy they were given leniency let alone a whole month. In any negotiation, there’s something called consensus, a middle ground where while not ideal, the parties walk away feeling as though they have not lost even though they didn’t get exactly what they wanted.
Law breakers should not be dictating the terms that best suits them. They should go pay the fines immediately and start behaving like courteous, decent, civilised human beings on our roads and to each other.

This is an appropriate reply could not have put it any better myself other than to say, they should not be given any time they breach the road traffic act by accumulating ticket after ticket, I cannot think of a country where such a despicable act is allowed without some serious consequences to those who commit such lawlessness.
Well said! I haven’t been ticketed in over 20 years and and these morons have $700,000 and more of unpaid tickets since 2018??? THEY CAN’T DRIVE!!! They need shut up, pay their fines and learn to drive. The government has been more than generous with them. If you can’t pay the fine, don’t do the crime.

This matter of blood donation is one that I have had serious concerns about. While the call to donate blood is necessary and commendable, I believe the message needs to be better constructed to make it clear to the public that not all blood is good/healthy hence unsuitable for donating. Such person’s may include but is not limited to those with compromised immune system such as Lupus, hepatitis C, persons living with STDs to include H.I.V/A.I.D.S even persons who are chronic diabetic.
How well is donated blood tested in Jamaica to ensure that recipients are not infected or otherwise have their health compromised, for example during a blood transfusion? Is this information available at the Ministry of Health? Would be good to know.
