San Diego yes they do protect the person wearing it! Keep up with the research. Masks can keep us from inhaling the vapor droplets that someone without a mask sends out. Not all masks are created equal and it is our own responsibility to do the research and decide what is best for us.

Sandy Jennings the only way a mask will protect the wearer is if it’s properly made and includes a proper filter. The other option is a medical grade mask. For example, if you are sick and you go to the hospital or doctor, the first thing they likely will do is give you a mask to wear so you don’t infect others. Proper filters have to be inserted into these masks everyone is making in order for them to be effective. Basically you are correct….just thought I’d elaborate a little. It seems people just don’t get this mask thing no matter how many times it’s explained.
