Parents Felix and Kimberly Rubio lost their daughter in the Uvalde shooting. They joined many others urging Congress to pass new gun control measures.

Felix and Kimberly Rubio, parents of Lexi Rubio, who died in the Uvalde massacre, spoke to lawmakers about their increasingly desperate search for their daughter – until they discovered she was among the deceased. “Bus after bus arrived but she wasn’t onboard,” Kimberly testified.
Her and other family members drove to different hospitals looking for her. “At this point, some part of me must have realized that she was gone,” said Kimberly. Her worst fear was later confirmed later. Tearing up, she pleaded for lawmakers to not “want to think of Lexi as just a number. She was intelligent, compassionate and athletic. She was quiet and shy unless she had a point to make.”
Closing her testimony, Kimberly said, “Somewhere out there there's a mom listening to our testimony, thinking I can't even imagine their pain. Not knowing our reality will one day be hers, unless we act now.”

What a tragedy. My heart aches for these parents. But it hurts so much more because these children could have survived if it wasn’t for the cowardice police afraid to do the job they swore to do. Each officer needs to be fired and charged with
Negligence in the performance of their job.
The fact that it took border patrol to take the shooter down should be more of a concern…
The fact that people actually believe any of this is the bigger problem.
The fact that people have lost their ability to think critically and see that this is a production with an end game is of a higher concern
My Heart aches for the parents, may GOD BLESS THEM WITH THEIR CHILD’S LOSS. I ALSO BLAME THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR NOT DOING ANYTHING AND THEIR JOBS.

Teachers and School Staff should be armed. All Americans should be armed!!!! No gun zone areas will continue to face these types of tragedies. Guns DO NOT KILL! It’s the shooter who kills.
And killers wanting to Kill will find any means and way to kill if that’s what they desire with or without a gun. An armed society is a Protected society. These kids died because their teachers and staff members could not fight back to protect themselves of the children. They were unarmed.
That was the most eloquent and powerful statement regarding the scourge of gun violence now sweeping our nation. Absolutely true: we can have so much compassion for these families…but do we realize it is OUR child that is next?😢

Gun reform is URGENT! If you have to wait till 21 to buy a beer, why not wait to buy a semiauto/ assault rifle? WE DEMAND a gun reform, it’s a start in the right direction!👍👍

sorry for them. but they need to be holding the police accountable for letting the killer have free reign while preventing and physically restraining parents. bring up the mother that saved her children to later be threatened by the police to stay quiet
