@Webfoot Trucker The Clinton statement was taken out of context and the context shows Clinton was not being callous about the 4 American deaths, but was trying to move the Committee toward solutions. She followed up with “It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from happening again, Senator.”
That is just a small taste of what she was expressing. It is a shame that Senator Johnson couldn’t think deeply enough to forswear partisanship.
So Clinton had little patience with Senators who waste their salary on campaigning on the job. So what? Does it take a woman to understand the value of a pragmatic approach to problem solving? Must we always have these ego battles in Congress?
Obviously Republicans took as much advantage of the statement as they could. But remember this: They lied and continue to lie everytime it is used incorrectly. They cannot talk about what she actually said without revealing themselves as willing liars. And they have abused you by that lie. Everytime the truth is injured people are mired in a narrative that exploits our collective better nature.
What she MEANT is the material point. Obviously Trump never gave much thought to his recent bombing in Iraq or to what Hillary was trying to get Congress to think about years ago or even to the actual state of preparedness of the American embassy in Baghdad today. Ironic, isn’t it?

One of the things citizens who read the impeachment depositions learned was the prohibition against the classification of a government work product if it involved a crime. It is not allowed. If someone has classified such an item it must be declassified. Comey, as an original classifier, knew this. Trump should know it too, as it is right there in the Executive Order Trump relied upon to declassify Nunes and Gowdy’s memo – the one that fell so flat.
Remember that? Or did YOU not read the depositions? Did YOU not read the lengthy Executive Order or watch the Comey testimony? If you had, you apparently forgot the importance of whether a work product needs to be classified or not is referred first to the ORIGINAL EMPLOYEE CREATING THE DOCUMENT. That would be a man named Comey.
So Comey had the right to declassify the memorialization as an original classifier. He had the right as the originator. And he had the DUTY under the EO, which has the force of law, NOT to allow it to be classified as he testified he thought Trump was trying to get him to allow Flynn to escape from the consequences of a felony. Just a friendly reminder.
