Uncle Sam – “I’m going to boycott the Beijing Olympics by not sending top level diplomats!”
Meanwhile in reality the US is still sending it’s athletes to compete in the Beijing Olympics and US companies are still making the majority of their products in China in factories owned by the CCP and thus the products are being made at least in part by forced Uighur labor. Many of these US companies have government contracts mind you. About 80% of all goods consumed in America are still being made in China to this very day. Matter of fact the chances are that the very jerseys and uniforms that the US athletes will wear while performing at the Beijing Olympics are made by Uighurs in China! None of that sounds like a “boycott” to me. By not sending top level diplomats only sends a superficial contrived fake hypocritical and ineffective message to people like myself and the World. The CCP and Uncle Sam are both laughing all the way to the bank.
