I truly believe the people are waking up to the real reasons behind our problems as a country. Turn out is already breaking records. The division in this country eerily parallels what took place in 1859-1860 prior to the outbreak of hostilities which resulted in the American Civil War. The North and the South went to war as the spirit of compromise for good or ill gave way to increasing hostility and open violence. The war technically began in states such as Kansas and Missouri as Abolitionist and Pro-Slavery militias went to war each other. The same is happening now, the battle lines are drawn and people from both sides are arming up which has resulted in a nationwide ammo shortage. The results of this election could lead to mass civil unrest, revolution, or possibly a second American Civil War. Whatever the case, countries like Russia, China, Iran, and the DPRK would like nothing more than a weakened America at war with itself. Fall of an empire indeed.
