Mary Trump is incredibly selfish, she took all the brains, humanity, and looks in the Trump family for herself, leaving nothing at all for the rest. Oh well, at least they went to someone capable of making good use of them, well done good lady.
Her aunt was a federal court judge, and her father was an accomplished pilot and ROTC officer. There’s no doubt they would have excelled if not for their toxic father (with the possible exception of Donald, but if his father weren’t there he would have been forced to choose between his ego and starvation, and made better decisions that didn’t involve wasting millions of dollars). All her aunts and uncles and her father needed to do was tell Fred Trump to GTFO as soon as they turned 18 and go no-contact, and their lives would have improved an order of magnitude. It’s easier said than done, but it’s hardly impossible.
Mary and her brother had the benefit of going to a boarding school Fred didn’t know about, and thus having minimal contact with her toxic grandfather. Whether that was intentional, their parents ended up doing the right thing.
