The unions representing some 48,000 teaching assistants, researchers, postdoctoral scholars, tutors, and graders say the vast majority of members turned out at picket lines starting at 8 a.m.

They say they are seeking significant pay increases and child-care subsidies to afford the cost of living in cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego and Berkeley, where housing costs are soaring.

    1. Abuse? They’re asking to be paid a high salary for a job that robots are about to take. 😂 Maybe they should get a better education that isn’t all gays, rainbows and continuum trans-dingaling things, then asking for a higher pay wouldn’t be so laughable.

    2. And then they get a pay raise, and then when they start getting paid more, everything else gets more expensive such as rent for the place they live, and then that pay raise will mean nothing and demand more pay, which will make everything more expensive, and repeat forever

    1. @jatpack3 Biden is trying to shut down a private schools and then wants government to take over control of public schools.

  1. Most of my coworkers are perfectly okay with it they say they’re not but their actions say otherwise! It’s either that or I am to believe that they are two uneducated to understand what our country has already done got lost and now we’re back at it again… I’m quite certain it’s the fact that they’re under educated

    1. It’s a common occurrence to be told by the cashiers that are educated by this system about how uneducated I am because I didn’t go to college. Instead I got a job and climbed to the top without any debt. I guess a cashier degree is a very expensive and highly sought in this generation. It’s really a shame that they will be all replace with self checkouts. What ever will these people do to pay for their worthless degrees???

    1. @Mark 🤣 government doesn’t give you anything without taking it from you and future generations. Every time they spend/ print money a loan is taken out in your behalf as of today every citizen owes 93,000 and if you are a tax payer 250,000.

    2. @Bloody ButcherB no. Joe Biden never said that….He’s just give loan forgiveness….and free medical would be nice too.

    3. @Mark you are right Joe Biden did not say that. Yet unfortunately it’s true thanks to Republicans and Democrats alike.

    4. @Bloody ButcherB free college is great….can I get a free car too….I really don’t want to work when my time in college is over this may.

  2. Lmao durrr let’s not blame the failed state and federal government that’s making the cost of living unbearable. It’s our employer…. durrrrrr
