Ohhhh! Lawyered up to represent rich foreigners. How about lowering fees and entrance hurdles for American students instead of selling to the rich.
Foreign students carry the cost of these institutions. Do some research.
@Global Warmhugs that’s the problem. You know this and dont see the problem. Do some research!
@Colin Cooper so your argument is, less foreign students who pay vastly higher tuition, etc, and lower costs for domestic students. Hmmmmm how does that pay for itself?
@Global Warmhugs It open course occupancy limits to local students, so you should just stay home and go to the prestigious uni in your own country…
Sue the Universities for being weapons of the extreme counter culture and at the same time corporate research fountains. Seems they are still the rich and powerful tools of profit and control. I once believed our schools would be the key to a better society. Instead high debt, fudged studies, social distortion, and hate for self is growing from them.
Anxiety, the young generation loves this word!
@Alexandre Reis concern for others is one of the highest virtues.
@Global Warmhugs Typically fostered and improved by education, kind of going to side with Global hugs on this one.
@Alexandre Reis A perfectly legitimate question. But consider, any one of these students could be the person that discovers the next breakthrough that may help your life and your problems of your own. I bet you work hard and it still spreads thin – I get that, I am in the same boat. These are times when one reflects often on self preservation.
@Global Warmhugs if they’re still in debt after 20 years, they need to make better financial decisions. Or get a second job.
@Mitch Holder true
The rules and law were in place when these students enrolled. Nothing wrong with the USA enforcing it’s laws.
The problem is that executive agencies have a legal duty to examine and study the effects of their actions. Here, Universities are confident in suing ICE because they know ICE has not done its homework, that this decision was not well thought out.
@Alex Yelol.. the universities are dumb for suing.. its a waste of money (their money and tax payer money)
An apostrophe? Really? And it’s a story about higher education, to boot. Hahaha
All Universities and Colleges in North America teach nothing but globalism to the students. In Canadas case, Crown loyalism.
[citation needed]
Then UBC doesn’t have Crown Loyalism as a required class
Fake education.
Must have missed that class in uni.
Yup
Universities have ceased to be institutions of learning and have become institutions of indoctrination and opinion.
Foreign students displace North American kids, who deserve their opportunity to be indoctrinated .
They’re kidding right?
