Universal Basic Income Gains Traction Amid The Pandemic | The Last Word | MSNBC
IS THIS THE GUY WHO RUINED STOCKTON CA. 😂 HE LOST HIS MAYOR RACE
Wrong. The city is doing better because of him. He lost due to smears and attacks
Yippy, we are on our way to being even more dependent on the government. Hello socialism.
Socialism is inevitable. But this is not an example of socialism.
@AdventureM8 who pays for this basic income?
Hey Social Security and Medicare are also socialist programs, which majority of Americans love. If you have an issue with socialism, fight ti get rid of those two programs first. 😂
I’m all for it. Im tired of busting my hump. I will gladly sit home and collect a check for doing nothing. Everyone should sit home and collect a check why work if you don’t have to.
@Zey Vu no
There should be a bottom rung of the ladder. That’s not in the muck.
Given the fact that tax cuts and tax shelters are a form of guaranteed income for the wealthy, I see no reason why the rest of America shouldn’t have a guaranteed income of their own.
Your calf muscles 🤤
Be Well Everyone.
Have some pudding….
A UBI would be better than the plethora of benefits programs. Libertarians and other free market proponents could support it, because it clears up so much bureaucracy. Having it go to every citizen equally makes it simple.
Revolution is necessary and overdue! America has become a cesspool of corruption!
I’m glad he said “everyone has a need for money”
Brilliant!
For a supposed rich country why is it aright for the rich to have more money but the hardworking tax paying people don’t deserve decent wages or other government help wow your country is a F’in Joke.!!
YEAH… FREE MONEY….NO WORK…YEAH THERE GOES THE ECONOMY DOWN THE TUBES QUICKER THAT S
Nope. Free money makes the economy go vrommm
That’s Stockton mayor tubbs. Have you seen Stockton? WRECKED!
Not because of him though
Wait. If you provide families and individuals with purchase power they buy food!?!
Michael Tubbs is a revolutionary, & I’m so proud of his work! EVERY American DESERVES a guaranteed income to afford basics. WHY are we living in the wealthiest country in the world with people homeless, on the streets? WHY does the wealthiest country not guarantee health/dental/vision care? WHY does the wealthiest country have people in food lines? Evicted from their homes? Unable to educate themselves & their children? WHY is the wealthiest country in the world fighting AGAINST a measly $15 hr minimum wage? I’ll tell you why: b/c corporations & Wall Street & the wealthiest among us BOUGHT our govt. a long time ago (including our Supreme Court). They INTEND to keep the masses poor, overworked, addicted, unhealthy, focused on things that don’t matter (sports, celebrities, social media, etc.) b/c if the populace was healthy & happy & whole, WE WOULD NEVER STAND FOR THIS CRAP. Guaranteed Income is way past due, & I’m ready to see everyone have their needs met, without having to work 2 and 3 jobs to meet them. The people who are LAZY & irresponsible with their money (& immoral) are usually the wealthiest among us. Look at Donald Trump & his entire criminal family. Look at Jeffrey Esptein. Look at Jeff Bezos, who is the wealthiest man on the PLANET, but refuses to treat his own workers at Amazon with dignity & respect.
I rest my case. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk. 🙂
Why spend more time and resources trying to find out who needs the money and who doesn’t? Just shame the rich into giving to charity or something, lol
Why let Amazon double it’s profits? There “no need for it”
hahah no not in the united states of poverty and oligarchy
Who and how will UBI be paid for?
More government dependency just like communist countries because that worked so well
This is the DUMBEST idea ever. Paying people for not working is STUPID.
