Immigration lawyer and advocate Hassan Ahmad joined American Voices with Alicia Menendez. Ahmad is suing the University of Michigan to uncover sealed papers from the late John Tanton, a man Ahmad says is key to today’s modern anti-immigrant movement. Aired on 04/05/2021.

There is an older word for modern anti-Immigrant ideology–Fascism.
You are conflating issues and name calling. This is a sign of ignorance. There are laws that simply should be enforced uniformly. As I said, my wife is a non-white immigrant that went through the process. The problem is we are letting in alot of people that we should not because the standard process is not being used. It is a simple process. Go to the embassy and apply there. Don’t go to the border.

@Buddy Christ persecution is persecution. The underlying reason may be different, but the result is the same. If you suddenly saw your neighbors disappearing, you might be inspired to leave yourself. The fact is,people immigrate for a variety of reasons. That doesn’t effect our laws. Doesn’t matter where you’re from, or the underlying reason. What matters is, if we have a law,the law is applied equally.
