RELATED: Crisis in Ukraine: The global implications of Russia's invasion
As civilian and military deaths mount in Ukraine, the United States is set on Friday to escalate its flood of economic blows against Moscow and Russia plans to advance its talking points at the U.N. Security Council.
The U.S. is expected to move forward on revoking Russia's permanent normal trade relations status, which would allow new tariffs on Russian imports. President Joe Biden is set to make the announcement Friday, according to a source familiar with the decision. The move will require congressional action.
A diplomatic confrontation is also expected in the U.N. Security Council on Friday. Russia requested the meeting to discuss its claims of “the military biological activities of the U.S. on the territory of Ukraine.”
The Biden administration has forcefully denied that assertion, saying Moscow could be laying the groundwork for its own attack.

Yes
Statements by US representatives that the delivery of Polish aircraft will not help Ukraine in any way are just another proof of the military and political impotence of the United States and NATO, as well as a terrible fear of imminent conflict with Russia! At the same time, fighters are very necessary for Ukraine in order to destroy Russian occupation troops much more effectively and expel their remnants back as soon as possible. The refusal to supply fighters is precisely a demonstration of military impotence, since the European participating countries really have frankly weak armies, and 90% of the entire military power of NATO is provided only by the US army, which is almost entirely located in North America, and not in Europe. Thus, the military power of the armies of European countries, even compared to the Ukrainian army, is just self-deception!))) For example, the Ukrainian army has both much more tanks and soldiers with real combat experience than any other European country, but it is now only conducting defensive battles! In addition, any of the participating countries can easily block decisions within NATO, which greatly reduces the likelihood of NATO joining the fighting. Hungary or/and Montenegro may well become such a country. Also, it should be noted that the latest transfers of 5-10 thousand NATO soldiers to its eastern borders are simply not able to stop the possible offensive of Putin’s troops. Therefore, Stoltenberg’s statements about NATO’s readiness to easily repel Russia’s attack do not have a proper basis. At the same time, Russia’s war with NATO is definitely inevitable, since the purpose of Russia’s existence is the conquest of neighboring countries. Therefore, if Putin succeeds in seizing Ukraine, then he will occupy Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia next, at the same time – only due to the massive entry of his troops. That is, these countries will simply sign acts of surrender and of joining Russia. Poland will be next, which will desperately fight the invaders, but it also has no chance of winning, since there are neither sufficient resources nor real combat experience among the soldiers. The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and others are also simply capitulating. The future of Germany is also a big question.
Currently, the Ukrainian army continues to persistently destroy the Russian occupation forces. If Ukraine succeeds in defeating Putin’s troops, then Russia will have to leave with nothing and restore its lost military potential for many years, and if not, Putin will get even more than what he demanded in his first ultimatum!))))
