For something so contagious and deadly Why would all PCR testing centers be closed. That’s like saying it’s a holliday all hospitals are closing come back in a few days.
@Me Here They said that Heathrow can do the testing. Most hospitals can run rapid and molecular covid test. So you can’t travel for a couple days. Who cares. You’re test is good for 72 hours with traveling, so if you had your test done in advance you will really only miss a day maybe two.
@Me Here Must every place in your list is doing in house testing. Also the molecular test is very expensive and not being used in most cases where your just getting a test to get a test, its a rapid antigen test, a tenth the cost, only people that are I’ll and may require hospitalization are being tested with the PCR test. Also most hospitals are unless you yourself has symptoms, even if someone in your family has covid your still working.
@cmiller8006 I really don’t care about the travel, I’m just concerned about testing centres being closed in such a busy, critical time for testing! Is there enough capacity at the centres still open over the holidays? What’s the queue time? & quite frankly, I think travellers needing tests for that should be put at the very bottom of the queue

It’s primarily to make people more likely to fly. Difficult to figure that out.
the new strain has been there since Sept. meaning, it shouldn’t be a requirement for people flying from the UK. it should be the rule PERIOD!
Have you seen the seasonal flu lately Tracie? Our “health experts” seem to have lost it since COVID. Strangely, nobody is getting the seasonal flu any more.

Just a thought, but how can the usa require other country’s citizens to take a test but not its own citizens? Is this usa exceptionalism at work?
And remember, if you own a private jet than there is no quarantine.

Airlines have never required a negative test 😂 they use the honor system when asking if your showing signs of being sick.
