@jimmyb524 it’s a good rule of thumb to never blindly believe any single source. Full stop. Only an aggregate of credible evidence can give proper context to any particular situation. The hosts on many network broadcasts certainly do bring their opinions, but with sufficient media literacy, one can still obtain(extract) measurable data or observable evidence from reporting that can be corroborated with other sources. After a while, a pattern emerges on what sources are more reliable than others, but that’s as far as trust in reporting should take us.

You know, I’m not that old. I’m 48. But I am old enough to remember when newspapers and media outlets had integrity. I remember a time when editors and news publishers made sure the facts were the facts before letting their journalists release stories, and Journalists would correct themselves by printing retractions, or apologizing letting the reader know something was not factual, they would get on television and correct themselves if they needed to. Integrity. A simple word that has a lot of meaning behind it. It is what bolsters your name in a positive and trusting light. Your name is all you have.
