Decades of stupid drug policies and greedy medical regulations leading to bad outcomes…
@Jlp the slayer Do you have any arguments regarding the topic?
@Bill Carson I agree. I thought the original post was talking about prescription drugs having too many regulations.
@Steve, in Mexico you can get Ivermectin, Hudroxychloride, and Therraflu over the counter -no prescription. In USA, good luck getting a prescription for Ivermectin. People literally died waiting for their doctor to write a prescription for Ivermectin.
@warmsunny today not to mention horses hoarding g the ivermectin.
There is another event that happened on February 24TH, 2023. Three ladies from Penitas, Mission, Texas went to the flee market in Montemorelos, Mexico 🇲🇽 and they are missing. They have not returned.
@John O’Neill wrong I remember el chapo 🕵 Venezuela. Did you forget it?
Wonder why This story is having national news. Hmmm
Heartbreaking but you know the risk going to a country like that they’ve been warning Americans not to travel to Mexico.. 💔
@A TG yea I would be with you all the way if it wasn’t for america being the reason that latin America is the way it is with your school of the americas starting coups and other military action against elected governments and destroying all other country’s
Evidently, some people don’t check. That’s the sad part. How times have changed. It used to be so safe to go there! 🙏🕯🙏
It’s epic! It’s funny how people want to compare this to what’s going on in the US. I’ve been all over, and the only time I felt nervous about getting kidnapped was in a cab in Cancun. Scary stuff!
There are many safe and beautiful areas in Mexico to visit. The areas by the border are not these places. Matamoras is a very violent area of the country, however, there are cities like San Miguel de Allende, Queretero, Oaxaca and many more. Many of these areas are close to Mexico City and in the central/southern part of the country. Border towns in many countries are not the safest places to visit. I teach in the south suburbs of Chicago. I am certain that there are areas in Mexico that are much!!! safer than where I teach.
Me and my friends would go there in the 60′ when it was safe. Even, New Orleans isn’t safe. Such a scary and sad outcome.
🕯🕯🕯🕯
My heart breaks for the victims and their families!! Praying that the victim in grave condition pull thru!!🙏🙏🙏🙏
@Vicky P not me but my know you are all the time. Keep staying on your needs for all the kids around the world who don’t eat. The poor Africans need you to continue to pray for them each time you pray. From now on you will never forget my comment and will always think about the Africans.

@Vicky P I don’t ever distinguish where someone is from when I say my thoughts and prayers are with victims and their families!! I don’t take into consideration whether they’re black, white, yellow, brown or purple. My only consideration is that they’re a human being, with feelings, families, friends. I don’t care where any tragedy is, my only concern is they’re human, and don’t deserve evil or tragic things to happen to them!! I don’t ever question where people are from, nor what race, sexual orientation,or religion! All I’m concerned about is that they’re a human being!! If that makes me prejudice against aliens from outer space, so be it!!
BTW- You are aware that they’re American citizens that this happened to, correct? I’d thought I’d remind you of that fact, since you brought up the people in the USA.
Holy crap that’s freaking insane.
no, thats mexico.
Not really, why would she go for a bbl in a cartel hot zone
Look like wild pig hunting.
This is sad. This is why you should check into and heed any and all travel advisories and outright warnings. It isn’t worth it.
So blame the victims?
@Pacjam Like in the USA?
@charles hoang Enter the USA?
@Will get better eventually Mexico.
@Pipo No
So sad 😥when they say do not travel to a place don’t go 😢
Blame the victim
The Gulf Cartel was featured prominently in Narcos: Mexico season 1
They’ve been in business for decades
Pretty sure the local police investigating the kidnapping are on the cartels payroll if history is a judge on the subject

Right!
No they were traveling for a cosmetic procedure pure thing 😢
It’s sad that we have to go to another country to afford medical care! I know a lot of people that have gone to Mexico for procedures and dental work and two of them were RNs!
@Trevor Ariza I hope that your gender reassignment surgery went well. 🙏
Stay out of the kitchen and you won’t get burned.
I go to Mexico for dental work. $400 for a crown in Mexico. $2500 for a crown in USA. $50 for a filling in Mexico. $320 for a filling in USA.
Bullcrap. They just wana save money to live their materialistic lifestyle.
Melissa, I thought Barrak Obama gave us “Affordable Health Care”????
This is horrible! Sending prayers to those family ❤️
There are horrible people doing horrible things in Mexico.

@Frank Martin And in The USA
Condolences to the families. I can’t understand why anyone would continue going to Mexico.
Because they like Mexican food.
For surgery and medical. Did you listen at all.
@Christine Blaszczyk no. No she doesn’t.
I’m not lying whatsoever. I’m going off the video footage and medical reports.
Cheaper medical treatment, cheaper medicines everything is cheaper down there….
How sad that the situation there has changed so radically. When I lived in south Texas in the late 50s to mid 60s we went to Matamoros, Reynosa, and Nuevo Laredo at least once a month. It was a family journey. Never a problem. 😒😒
Sorry to say, that was then and this is now.
@horace sheffield I’m sure the victims (the one’s still alive anyways) will be relieved to know this.
@horace sheffield They should paint their faces white.😂.
I miss the days of my youth when my dad could take us for vacation to Mexico without the fear of being kidnapped or killed. We could drive from California or Arizona to Guadalajara without worrying about our lives. I miss that, the cartels ruin it for Americans and innocent Mexican people.
@David Aguirre yea there’s 25 million people there and the solved homicide rate is 20 percent
You can always take a bus there.
Another heartbreaking fruit, of the broken war on drugs. Does anyone else, remember what it was like, before we started this failed experiment?
It’s an unwinnable war. There’s no end in sight, ever.
This is horrible ! But you can inform John Miller that a lot of Americans have to go to Mexico to get medical procedures ( like dental work ) or fill prescriptions because it’s either go to Mexico or go without because of the healthcare cost in the US !!
You should tell that to the millions trying to get in here. Maybe they would turn around?
Went to Tijuana a few times, yrs ago and there’s a dentist & pharmacy on every corner.
my friends girlfriend was kidnapped in that same city a couple of yrs ago.but not for a long time, her cousins was from there and knew some people who know some people and she was returned a couple of hrs later!
So sorry for these folks and their family’s loss.
That being said, The State Department issues travel warnings for this area of Mexico all the time and medical tourist coming down to Mexico to buy medication and for aesthetic surgery should always check before traveling what the state department says and what the CDC says about buying medication.
Don’t drive down to Mexico. If you want to come to Mexico you should fly, but ALWAYS CHECK out what to State Department is advising. Please don’t think that this doesn’t mean you, it’s easy for people to think that nothing will happen to them and just do what they want. Don’t be foolish, I who have lived in Mexico for 45 yrs would not drive here, I’ll fly for sure, it’s a lot safer than driving.
Don’t be foolish!
Get over it
This is so sad and by no means am I blaming the victims of this horrible crime. I do know some areas of Mexico. Matamoras is not a safe area to go to for anyone. It is so dangerous. I don’t know if someone told them to go there but it’s in one of the most violent area of Mexico. This whole thing is just so sad. I am so sorry for these people.
This mistaken identity case makes sense to me. I grew up going to MEX, I went to college in San Diego. Ive been across that border hundreds of times in my life. Countless family vacations and college shenanigans. When I was younger the street vendors would aggressively try to sell stuff to my family and I like all Americans. But after the earthquake in Haiti this changed a bit. The times Ive gone recently b/c I’m a darker skinned African American I felt like at times I was being mistaken as Haitian by the vendors. Not all the times but from time to time and fairly often tbh. I felt this way b/c they wouldn’t try to sell me anything lol or if so it wasn’t nearly as pushy as I was accustomed to. The Haitians could all tell I wasn’t Haitian but some of the Mexicans couldn’t. At times I was able to use this to my benefit. Until now I’ve personally never heard of any Haitians being involved in the narco trade in Mexico (not that it surprised me). But in fairness I’ve also never cared to look into it. What this does do is make me reconsider if/when I will be going to MEX anytime soon though…..
They were in a car that had American plates. And the Haitians involved in the drug trade in Mexico didn’t exactly have a choice.
Prayers go out to the family 🙏…
