Saudi Arabia has been a US ally for decades (they committed/funded 9/11). Together with Israel the US screws up the middle east, because investors can make money that way. ‘Death to America’ Iran used to be Persia, until the US ‘intervened’… The last 200 years of US wars show a remarkable trend at any rate, but people tend to forget. We all seem to just focus on the last biggest event of our lives… Civilians fight the battles over patriotism and lies. Veterans get screwed over. Basically, the US as a whole, politically, has been working exactly like Trump: like a business that only cares about profit. US history is rife with abuse of power. Whether it’s slavery, experimentation, or war. Profit… Capitalism… More – and it’s never enough. All Trump really does, is making it painfully obvious, for everyone to see.
In my history class – some 20 years ago, my teacher always said: ‘The reason ‘we’ (a northern European country) follow the US is not because it is so great/good. We follow them because we believe they are the lesser evil in this world’. But we all know power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely (again, part of the reason why empires fall: flawed greedy instinct).

Just a question, why didn’t the house democrats call these witnesses before their vote? If they didn’t have all the evidence, was it a legitimate impeachment when they decided to pass on the articles?
