Yes some do, I can’t explain that because I’m not a virologist, but here in the UK the vast majority of people now in hospital and dying from covid are unvaccinated. This virus is not like polio, smallpox, measles, mumps, dyptheria etc that don’t change with time….it’s evolving all the time to survive, that is it’s only purpose….to make sure it’s not elminated. There have been four, maybe five mutations that we know of so far. I’m sure we won’t see the end of this for a long time if people keep on refusing to get vaccinated. Here in the US there is a mixture of both vaccinated and unvaccinated people entering our hospital system.
Yes our children have to provide proof of vaccinations upon entering our educational system but as you have eloquently stated this is not like the dis-eases of old times. COVID-19 is new, unknown and deadly to many. There will continue to be many variants I agree and nothing is 100 %, however; from what I am witnessing, getting the shot is not going to stop the variance from occurring. There are many people FULLY vaccinated entering the hospital which means they became sick enough to be evaluated 😢. Some people are just not ready to roll the dice with those odds; therefore, let people make the decision that RESONATES WITHIN THE INDIVIDUAL (not shouting…..making a point 🥰) to do what’s best for them. The answer is within 🧘🏽♀️. No one should be forced or bribed with 🤑 to make a life decision. I don’t agree with that 😐. Moreover, the vaccine not being FDA approved was/is a HUGE concern for many and gave them pause. Now that the FDA is approving the vaccine that may change the situation for some but not all. Especially if the CHOICE is to take a holistic approach to healing. We must respect those people choice to do so and find a way to keep them safe as well 😍🤓📝.
What I do know is this:
1) There is a approximately 14 day shedding period of the virus when it is contracted which makes the person contiguous for that period of time. What happened to the quarantine period? That protocol basically went away…..why? Many businesses and institutions suffered economically….I get it but public health and safety is involved here.
2) Mandatory mask rules keep being lifted and then reinstated 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️. We should all keep our mask on and double up when in closed doors.
I am not saying this is a cure all but these standards should be kept in placed for the vaccinated and unvaccinated. No one should be judged or shunned for their vaccine decision. It should be respected and proper precautions should take place for everyone. Believe it or not there are people out here that just don’t believe in vaccines because of how they are made. I will not go into that but I will encourage people to do their own research and make an informed decision for their own health and well being

I remember having so many shots in the military and never even questioned it. How many of these folks would have lost their head if we soldiers hollered “my freedom, my choice” when it comes to protecting them? They would have called us unamerican. You had no problem letting us get the jabs. Let that sink in.
1st please let me say “Thank you so very much for your service!”. We have been thankful over the decades in our country for vaccinations that have saved us! What the heck is going on in our country? I had to line up in school to get a sugar cube for polio! Sounded better than a iron lung! Couldn’t get into school without the rest! Oh yeah the TB test in school. If our service people do this for us, why can’t we do it for them!

Indeed. My Marine spouse had to have a boatload of jabs, even though he was permanently stationed in DC. Some of them caused mild reactions, but he knew it was a requirement of the enlistment in our armed forces and never complained about it. These whiney babies complaining about jabs and masks make me wonder if they’re worth protecting. At all.

It wasn’t genuine. It was one of those deliberate ‘pause for boos’ moments that speakers often use to get engagement from the audience. He got them suitably wound up and then went on to emphasize immediately after that that he did get them their freedoms, and they cheered right away at that. He could care less about people getting vaccinated, what he wants is a voter base and money.

The vaccine was first available around 12/14/2020, and Trump literally tweeted on 12/17/2020 for everyone to “get those shots.” He did not wait long to promote the vaccines. Why are you spreading misinformation?
